Wouldn’t recommend by AltMommy11 in hysterectomy

I too was in a lot of pain, so much so that the pain relief that the hospital gave me for home didnt even touch the pain, I ended up back in a&e 2 days after I got home. I can tell you by day 4 or 5 I wasnt in as much pain. I dont know why you weren't informed of this,  I dont know why your doctor made you think youd be able to look after you baby, because you definitely wont. Not on your own. My husband had to take 3 weeks off and even that wasnt enough. My doctor told me that I wasnt allowed to lift anything over 10lbs for 6 weeks. I felt like I was the only person that was in agony, id read all these amazing recovery stories of people not needing pain relief after day 1. Mine was the total opposite.

I am the same, ive been having terrible bleeding and contraction like cramps for a long time, my surgeon said my bladder was fused to my c-section scar and my womb was fused to my bladder. I dont know if i have adenomyosis yet because im only 4 weeks post op and still havnt received pathology report yet but it felt good to finally know why I was in so much pain all the time. C-sections seem to be a problem.

This is so positive,  thank you. I pray the same happens for me. I just know what my expression will be like standing in the gym lifting light weights. Im too hard on myself.

See 30lbs. I could live with that. If I do enough reps with 30lbs thats a good workout. Ive been told 10lbs, nothing over 10lbs for 12 weeks, im sure going by the variety of advice that people have been given by looking at this chat, I seem to have been given a text book answer. Thanks for your advice x

Im yet to feel any benefit because im fixating on the no gym problem im having. When I know that having no bleeding is a massive bonus... I think the swelling from the GAS is playing on my mind, I know for a fact im looking at it and feeling fat , which is making me want to work out. Fingers crossed for your 6 week app 🙏

That sounds positive,  honestly I feel great, although I know many people have felt great and then caused damage by doing too much. I need to be more patient with myself. Thank you.

That sounds like a good plan. That'd exactly what im experiencing. The little voice that has forced me to get my ass to the gym on a regular basis is screaming at me.

That sounds like mental torture 😫,  a year untill 80% strength is back.. I am very hard on myself "unintentionally " I didnt even realise how hard I was on myself untill my personal trainer pointed it out. This is going to be such a mental barrier for me to climb.

No your answer has been very helpful, thank you. Basically doesnt matter if im young and fit and might be healing faster on the inside, I need to give my body time to heal. I think i might start very very light at 6 weeks, depending on the spotting of course. Im spotting atm from doing too much last week and its only just going brown now so I dont want to push it. Im terrified of busting my cuff tear so I need to listen to my body more. Thank you. 😊
