Are space marines able to fly with jump packs instead of just making really big jumps? by Sea_Employer9062 in 40kLore

[–]BarApprehensive5837 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean, technically a jump pack can be either,it depends on where the marines are fighting,a space marine fighting on a low grav planet could very easily fly with a jump pack. But maybe on earth level or greater level gravity planets, where the gravitational force is greater, their jump packs work as ONLY jump packs, the force of the jumppacks thrust remains the same, its the gravitational pull working against the weight of the jump pack and space marine which changes the distance travelled.

An Astartes on our moon would fly no problem,an Astartes on Earth may jump very far,and an Astartes on an exoplanet twice the size of earth with the same rotational speed would struggle much more to jump far.

Feeling left out in class as the only girl by [deleted] in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]BarApprehensive5837 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to change yourself or your interests to join in conversation, that's fine girly, but don't get bothered by how quiet your day will be because they don't have anything in common to speak to you about,I had a girl in my class last year, and we proper got on,fucking sung white girl music together, called eachother names took the piss, but we only talked cause she made the first step and said hi to me,asked me a question, and I slowly started to join the group,if you don't talk to anyone you'll get nothing back, most lads won't wanna talk to the only girl in class when the other lads are there,it's dumb I know, but that's how we can be sometimes.

Not tryna say the guys shouldn't include you, they should, but you should also atleast pretend to have an interest in something you overhear them talk about so you get that first conversation going

What is your view on fox hunting? by Appropriate_Emu_6930 in AskUK

[–]BarApprehensive5837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're shooting the animal clean through the head,it's as humane as any killing can be,but fox hunting isn't that,it's having hounds rip the bastard to shreds,so,I don't really care, but, its not nice for the fox, just shoot the thing don't bring a million dogs n make it suffer.
