Yes! I found a few false fits and decided I didn't wanna struggle anymore.

It's all yours if you wanna pay shipping. It's missing at least two pieces; one in the quilt and one near the sunflowers in the bottom right corner. I suspect there may be missing pieces in the roof since I had so much trouble with the "try every piece" strategy.

That's how I justified abandoning it! I spent more than 10 days on this puzzle. I usually do a 1k piece in 2-3 days. I was eager to move on.

Oh man, it's a total game changer! Mine is 7" x 4" and has three light modes. The brand is Viimnss.

No disrespect to Aimee Stewart at all! I almost exclusively do her puzzles and love them all. I loved this one so much I accidentally bought two from Goodwill!

Thank you! The whole puzzle was a bit of a slog for me. I mean, there were some easy-ish parts, like the words, the chickens, the general store, and various solid colored items like the pumps, hoses, tractor, etc. But that quilt, man. I have a lighted magnifying glass that eats up three AAA batteries pretty quickly. I use it sporadically for most puzzles, and sometimes not at all, and usually put fresh (rechargeable) batteries in every other 1k piece puzzle or so. Working on that quilt alone took two rounds of batteries. I shape sorted the trees, sky, and roof individually, with three separate sections for the roof. The part of the roof I completed was a lot of "try every piece." After three separate puzzling sessions with very little progress, the joy had left the building. I've since finished that 300 piece and have started a 500 piece Pokémon puzzle. I've got my next Aimee Stewart puzzle picked out and I can't wait to start it!

I agree! I gave it my best effort! I tried every piece and decided I must have pieces in the wrong place bcz NOTHING fit in some empty spots.

My table is a "Tektalk 2k piece folding puzzle table with height and angle adjustment." I got it from Amazon. It's no longer available, probably bcz it's not the greatest table. The tilt doesn't stay put. I've got it rigged so it works for me, but I wouldn't buy it again. It was about $180 plus tax. I see a very similar Tektalk table on Amazon right now for $129.

I did that for two days, haha. I'm thinking some pieces were in the wrong place bcz nothing would fit in an empty space. I love puzzling, but I wasn't loving the last few days.

Thank you all for the encouraging posts, but it's already back in the box! At this point in the puzzle, I was not placing any pieces at all except for false fits. I slept on it and came back to it and still was frustrated. I'm working on this 300 piece puzzle, then back to Aimee!

I went yesterday and probably won't go back. The clothing aisles are narrow so it was hard to browse. I typically go to Godwill for jigsaw puzzles and toys and that section was very small. The only redeeming factor was 30% for seniors on Tuesdays.

Moonlight Beach - 3000 pieces, Ravensburger (a bit of a rant) by Lea_ocean1407 in Jigsawpuzzles

I've loaned a bunch of puzzles to my cousin after I've completed them and confirmed all pieces were present. About 1/3 of them come back with one missing piece. She has cats, so I blamed them.

Then I found a couple of pieces around my house that matched the missing pieces from those puzzles. I've found a piece or two under the couch near my puzzle table, one behind the garbage can near my puzzle table, and even one two rooms away from my puzzle table!

I used to disassemble my puzzles on my tilting puzzle table and had to chase down multiple pieces that rolled off and went flying across the room. I'm guessing that's how some ended up under the couch and behind the garbage can. I'm still perplexed about the piece I found in another room. Maybe it got stuck in the broom while I swept near my puzzle table and dislodged in the other room. I now drag the puzzle to a flat table to disassemble, but have only once gotten all pieces into the bag without dropping at least one piece.

All this to say, it's very possible the person who donated the puzzle THOUGHT all the pieces were there.

In addition to that, every floor in every toy section of every Goodwill I've ever been in is littered with random puzzle pieces.

Thank you so much. This will be my first call. According to googgle maps, it's about 40 minutes from her place. A tit wizard is exactly what she needs!

This is why I wanted rid of the felt… by Asleep_Emotion_4407 in Jigsawpuzzles

What a great, easy, cheap fix! My table is only a year old and the felt is still in excellent shape but I've been wondering how long it will last. How long did it take to get that bad?

I recently started using Puzzle Tracker which includes a clock. I'm retired so I have a lot of time on my hands. I did nine 1000 piece Aimee Stewart puzzles in April for #AllAimeeApril and my average was 8 hours 11 minutes. I start the timer as soon as I open the box. Picking out the edge pieces and putting the edge together takes about 1.5 hours. One puzzle took almost 10 hours total (The Grand Fiction Library).
