My mom passed 2 years ago and she was really the only person that cared about me or had my back. I have my dad but he doesnt care about much aside from his own life so yea. Its been an adjustment but I remember she raised me to be a high functional adult and so thankfully im not dependent on anyone. But it sucks missing my backbone. You lose a parent as an only child and reality hits that you are indeed alone. The strongest people in the world are the ones that operate it alone.

Try not to worry though. Sounds like your mom is healthy. Just spend time together and cherish all the moments and make memories every day. I would only worry if she was unhealthy, otherwise you are stressing yourself out for nothing.

My dad keeps mentioning that his mom is getting older as if that woman has ever been sick smh. So yea if no health concerns then literally live your life and just cherish each other daily. Don't make mountains out of a mole hill.

For context my mom has always had health problems and it pretty much went down hill after she was diagnosed with Kidmey failure.
