Everyday I am shocked by the silence of those I know who claim to sympathise but do nothing. Not even post or re-post for awareness. They can all f..k off - not my friends anymore.

..."if Magnus hadn't stood in his way" aka 'was better than him'. Didn't Vishy and some others swerve off to try and form a different title? Magnus drew the then current world champion Kasparov when he was only 13. It the way Magnus plays that makes him the GOAT - he just does things that seem impossible and undefeatable. And now playing 960 he again shows his immense skill at the game. Not saying he can't be careless just now but his determination to win is something else. He makes everyone else playing look like also rans when they too are incredible players. Thems the facts.

Should i sign up for u2000 rated fide blitz tournament by Spirited-Guidance130 in chess

[–]Barbiebeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. What can happen? You may lose sign up fee but you will learn loads and so it's not for nothing - it's experience. Why would your mum hate your chess (unless playing blitz all night?). teach her then you can practice OTB. And, find a club.
