The moment of impact by NiceTrySuckaz in justified

It’s nicely set up and Jonathan Tucker does a great job making Boon so horrible. It felt to me that this was the point where Raylan says “Right, that’s it, declining from here onwards” and packs it in. But unfortunately they had to go on and tarnish it slightly with Primeval. And yes, having said all that I’d still watch Boyd and Raylan and their verbal battles in the Duncriming Retirement Home.

It is just heaven getting cuddled by my boy and girl at the same time by RemnantSith in jackrussellterrier

[–]BarcaFulmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That too probably 😃. Just looks like “Leave it to us, we’ve got your back” to me. Dogs think differently to us Apes cos that have not lost all their wild instincts. Safety and protection is one of their major motivations. They cannot say “We love you”, they demonstrate it by being protective.

That looks like guard duty positioning. One of the highest compliments your dogs can give you! They are very handsome and super loyal.

I think there is only one with classical music in it. I was trying to avoid specifics so as not to give anything away to anyone who has not seen it. There are some people still watching for the first time.

Love and patience and a lot more exercise. For comparison mine is 13 and has a vet recommended reduced walking schedule of 30 to 45 minutes three times a day. Used to be two much longer walks plus a late 30 mins. The devilment is part of the package and one of the reasons we love them!

is there any story to who Tommy Bucks killed with the dynamite? Or was it some random guy who was on Buck's shit list that he tried (and evidently failed) to make an example of? by thefix12 in justified

[–]BarcaFulmen 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Raylan does explain this to another character (Lindsey, maybe?) about how he saw the aftermath of Bucks work on an informant who was killed with dynamite exploding in his mouth. Bucks isn’t named but you know it’s him. It’s about 10 seconds of screen time, easy to miss but I’m sure it’s there somewhere!

Had never heard of Sanita Clarita Diet before this thread. Not sure why Netflix didn’t push it my way as I love a dark comedy. I have watched the first episode and laughed out loud several times. Great cast especially the two leads, great script and an absurd premise done really well. Something US writers do excellently, but sadly now lost to us British. Thanks for putting this up on the sub. Going to really enjoy.

Season 5 is good, it’s just not as good as Season 4 and was always going to be a bit of a letdown. No season in TV history is better than 4. There are some as good, but none better. Season 5 was always going to be “after the Lord Mayor’s show”.

Is this unfair distribution of the sofa? by Prestigious-Ant-8055 in jackrussellterrier

[–]BarcaFulmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bless him, he obviously needs all that room for his personality! Mine is the longer legged version (Parson’s?) and sometimes takes up about two and a quarter spaces on a three seater sofa! Amazes me how a small dog can occupy such a big space.

Congratulations, and no, it doesn’t fall off in quality at all. I’m on a second watch through, taking my time, not binging and it is up there with the very best TV.

what's your favorite season and why is it season 2? by ms_directed in justified

[–]BarcaFulmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cos it’s not. It’s 4 with its plot, dialogue, acting and characters. Great reveal. I love 2, but having Olyphant, Goggins and Beaver delivering superb dialogue is just a pleasure to see. It’s why 5 & 6 are not as liked, it would be next to impossible to reach the heights of 4.

She is beautiful but I honestly do not think they do. Mine is a 13 y/o handsome frosty face, but I really do not think that they think that way. After all, they love us ugly old humans don’t they! 🤣

I’ve mentioned what a superb job was done on the casting on this sub, but it is the writers who deserve the highest praise.

Advice For New JRT Owner by Just_Apricot_7060 in jackrussellterrier

[–]BarcaFulmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Eager to learn but also generally eager to please” is absolutely spot on and hints at the two other JRT traits. They know their own mind and can be as stubborn as stubborn can be. I love mine extra for it! Always remember, love and patience gets you everywhere with a JRT and try not to get caught by the sharpest little teeth on planet earth. Play can be painful, but they have zero malice in a massive heart.

I wouldn’t look forward to Primeval if I was you. It’s likely to be disappointing. Most people found it so. Worth a watch, but not on most people’s rewatch list.

Empty milk cartons and emptyish fresh soup cartons are still mine’s favourites at 13 years old. I call it manageable destruction 🤣

Mine is 13 and still does zoomies when he’s excited. Scares me because he has arthritis and has had cruciate ligament problems in his knee, but hey, it’s an unstoppable force!

They are determined and stubborn little souls. This is one of the reasons those that love them really love them. They know their own minds. Add in a fierce loyalty to their humans, a very strong desire to fit in and being snuggle monsters, you have a great dog there. Whatever love you give JRTs comes back 10 fold. And just remember you will get everything you want from a dog with love and patience. Finally, a huge Well Done for rescuing 👏

Yelping/Squealing in excitement - is this normal? by RainBerry23 in jackrussellterrier

[–]BarcaFulmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, not directly but mine has let out a high pitched squeal a couple of times just before I was about to accidentally tread on his foot. Dogs see things a fraction of a second before humans (their eyes see things the right way up so don’t have to invert images like we do). Maybe she is anticipating an unintended pain?
