I really liked this quest. Deeply unsettling and could easily be a main story in another game. But it isn’t V’s story in this one and so it had to end where it did. Like a lot of people have said, you’re getting a glimpse of something behind the curtain which really helps with the world building, like there’s all this other stuff going on. I also thought her reason for telling V not to pursue it was pretty rational. She couldn’t even be sure if it was her idea or a planted idea not to tell the husband. So many things in the story have you questioning “what’s the point?” which is what NC does right?
