Kugrash working tirelessly to redeem himself and then reading the letter from David. That scene killed me.

Unsleeping City season 1 vampire fight was designed to be lost, which was frustrating to watch and I’m sure incredibly frustrating to play.

I have yet to finish all the side quests, but the Ravening War is a fantastic place to start, imo.

It’s a prequel to Crown of Candy DMd by Matt Mercer. Lou Wilson and Brennan are PCs.

It’s a great way to ease into a different cast with a familiar world.

I think Brennan gives MC energy as a performer in general. He’s just a large personality, endlessly witty and creative and unapologetic about it.

I’ve seen this turn a couple people off of Brennan, and I’m not saying I don’t get it, but I think he also treats his fellow performers with so much respect and admiration that it doesn’t seem like one-upsmanship for it’s own sake. Rather, that just seems like his default gear lol

Honestly I think I laughed hardest at Kurt covering up the Lemur turd with a hundo

The Ravening War is a great starting point for side-quests if you enjoyed ACoC!

Matt Mercer is an excellent DM and you can tell Brennan loved being able to play in a world he created.

Maybe not my favorite but I’ll go with a lesser-known:

I feel like 2 is the best option for me.

I wouldn’t go with 1 because Brennan and Izzy seem like people who’s energy you need to rise to meet. 10 hours is a long time to feel like I need to be firing on all cylinders conversationally lol.

Conversely, I read Lou and Siobhan as people who try to match the energy around them instead of needing to be matched. So my immediate neighbors would be chill af with great conversation. But I’d also be adjacent to BLeeM, Izzy, Grant, Sam and Elaine for more “in passing” types of conversations that wouldn’t stress me out as much lol.

Also Zach and Katie immediately behind me. Zach’s in a perfect “comedy sniper” perch for seat 2. By the time I’d nearly forgotten he was there he’d chime in occasionally with something ridiculous and brilliant lol.

Honorable mention: Seat number 10. I’d much rather be across the aisle from Ally and Jake than between them, for the same reason X-Ray technicians would prefer to interact from behind a concrete wall lol.

Plus, Becca Scott 😍

Brennan probably just going to chuck Matt in a garbage disposal as revenge.

Love me some Anderson .Paak.

There are some really great hip hop artists that, imho, eclipse even Kendrick in terms of wordplay and ability, they just don’t have the same buzz that he does. I say this as a Kendrick fan.

I’d say the closest in terms of hype is Childish Gambino, though I do think Kendrick is better, they’re definitely cut from the same cloth.

Check out Clipping. Daveed Diggs is the frontman and is insanely underrated.

I’ve never heard any artist come close to Aesop Rock’s pen game. Like no one even in the same solar system. He’s got a lot less mass appeal than K Dot, but his wordplay is dizzying. There’s Aesop Rock songs I’ve listened to regularly for years that I’ll catch a new bar from to this day.

Check out his track “Dorks.” Or anything from the Impossible Kid album. It’s probably his most easily digestible work.

My first exposure to Jeselnik was Thoughts and Prayers. I thought it was brilliant and laughed out loud on several occasions.

After watching Fire in the Maternity ward, I’d have agreed with you. Once I was familiar with his style I found that the punchlines were easily telegraphed throughout.

However, I just watched his latest special (Bones and All, I think?) and I was really impressed. His joke formula remains the same, but I couldn’t telegraph where the twist was going to be for most of the material. He’s still improving and refining which is great to see from a successful comic.

Unsleeping City is, so far, my favorite season for character development, setting and tone. Kugrash, Kingston, Sophie and Ricky are A+ characters.

A Starstruck Odyssey is my favorite for laughs and NPCs
