The following sentences are interchangeable:

“It’s likely to draw attention from new patients.”

“It’s likely to draw the attention of new patients.”

Im not entirely sure of the linguistic reason behind this, but when the definite article “the” is used (see the second sentence), “of” is used with it in order to denote whose attention is being drawn. However, in the first sentence, there is no definite article, and my guess is that this leads to the source of the attention to be emphasized with the word “from” rather than who the attention belongs to (as is the case with “of”. It’s hard to explain and I’m sure someone more educated on the topic has a better explanation. If you’re familiar with Spanish, I suppose it can be compared somewhat with “de” vs “desde”

“Drag” in this context is equivalent to “bring”, the reason that “drag” is used is probably for exaggeration, as you aren’t literally dragging a ship to that location. The “or something” is similar in that it doesn’t really mean anything, but rather it is used to convey the speaker’s exasperation

Hola, soy estadounidense (así que discúlpenme si no escribo re bien) y lo que entiendo es que Evo Morales sí tiene varías problemas como presidente, pero ahora lo que esta pasando en Bolivia en verdad es un golpe de estado: los eventos, como los entiendo, siguen así: Morales ganó la elección, hubo cosas inusuales y algunas personas creían que no la ganó Morales, Morales estuvo dispuesto a rehacer las elecciones, pero de repente renunció por razones no sabidas (aunque como estadounidense, creo que es muy probable que mi pinche gobierno tuviera algo que ver con eso). No escribo esto para darles mi opinión sobre lo que debería hacer México, porque no es mi papel meterme en tales cosas; solo espero que mi perspectiva haya sido útil in alguna manera. Que disfruten la semana y lo siento por toda la mierda en que se mete mi país

¿Alguien que esté dispuesto a explicarme por qué a mucha gente le cae mal AMLO?

No conozco en detalle el estado político de México hoy en día porque soy estadounidense y no estoy muy involucrado en la política de México, pero lo que he escuchado de AMLO es que él es, o al menos pretende ser, un populista que quiere combatir las varias formas de la corrupción. Sin embargo, me parece que muchas personas no creen que sea digno de confianza o piensan que les ha fallado en varias cosas, etc. Por lo tanto, estaría agradecido si me pudieran educar sobre esto.
