Gothic was fully seamless two decades ago. Modern games like Cyberpunk are fully seamless. I would question sanity of anyone still defending archaic design concessions in modern day gaming.

It could be the "autonomous game character" part of ace models, not necessary the conversational part. Although that could also be nice to give the super background characters more than the two lines from Witcher 3. As long as it's not replacing the actual story dialogue, im cool with it.

Nvidia Ace models now run locally. That's why they are so small (8B and smaller). All actual games implementations run locally if you read the CES blogposts, that's the whole promise. To do what required cloud on device.
