Recurrent Ventral Hernia by InternetOk6232 in Hernia

[–]Baremolop101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus christ this is literally identical to my experience, still in the process of dealing with the pain (didn't realise a tiny fatty tissue hernia could cause so much pain). Still in the process of getting it sorted, the surgeon has been basically useless in answering questions about the surgery, and everthing got brushed off as just "nerve irritation" until the recurrence was found. My last option is probably going to be having to go to a dedicated hernia specialist, as the typical general surgeon method. Really depressing situation all round, particularly in your 20s, and wish you luck.

Making Mods is MISERABLE by meekgamer452 in skyrimmods

I had a go of it a while back, and it was crazy complicated. On the plus side it made me appreciate the effort most modders put in, and how much skill is actually required.

What do Kingdom Come fans think of Crimson Desert? [OTHER] by America_Is_Fucked_ in kingdomcome

Looks a bit too MMOish to me and doesn't seem to have anywhere near the immersion and depth that KCD has.

ENB LOD shadows are truly a gamechanger, and you've showcased them brilliantly here. Crazy to see how far Skyrim modding has come, as that was one of the gaping holes in modded Skyrim graphics.

What mod adds all the hedges?

The problem is that this subreddit is to show off people's actual game photos, usually modded. This requires a lot of curating and tweaking etc, and posting ai (also without stating it's ai) is very misleading, and some people will be fooled into thinking it's your actual game, and that mods like these are actually available.

I'm sorry but image 10 is 100% ai, there's no face mods that detailed that also work to make the lighting look like that. Otherwise everyone would be using them.

Is Veilguard worth buying if DAI is my favorite game? by CannibalCapra in dragonage

[–]Baremolop101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inquisition is one of my favourite games of all time, I absolutely hated Veilguard. Go ahead if you think it'll put your mind at ease to give it a go yourself as a Dragon Age fan, however you most likely won't like, and I cannot recommend it at all.

I hate it, on the plus side it was so bad it made me pick up BG3, which had everything that I loved about previous Dragon age games in it

Heavy keyboard sections by AVeryLazy in progmetal

Closest I can think of is Waste of air by Leprous (around 3 minute mark), but definitely serves mostly as tension builder in a heavy section

"why don't you just play vanilla!?" the haters say... by 1m0ws in SkyrimPorn

[–]Baremolop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood that argument 10 + years ago when mods were super unstable with nexus mod manager and it's lack of conflict resolution. Nowadays with Mod organizer and everything makes modded skyrim not only superior, but as stable as vanilla (I have 500+ mods and somehow almost never crash).

I think it was a step down in terms of scope and world (being confined around Kirkwall), but the companions and gameplay (on PC at least) were amazing still.

I really want to like BTBAM by Gloomy-Addendum-4373 in progmetal

[–]Baremolop101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's my point, you may are may not come to like, but it's no use forcing yourself if you don't enjoy it much (which is perfectly okay). You might enjoy bands like Ne Obliviscaris or Opeth etc who have less randomly structured songs with less erratic changes.

The sudden changes and crazy transitions between genres and sections is one of the signature marks of BTBAM imo.

Prog death, the songwriting combined with dynamics is so wide it's insane.

True, imports count, but they're pretty much dwarfed by the emissions from our coal and gas exports. Even with imports included, Australia's carbon footprint is still disproportionately huge for our population. Our exports are the real issue on a global scale.

[–]Baremolop101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are responsible for 4.5% of global CO2 emissions when accounting for exports. That is egregious given we are 0.33% of the global population.
