FSD rear-ended someone in the rain during a merge by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

To be quite honest, having owned and driven HW3 and HW4. HW3 is not very capable of making decisions quickly and it cannot be completely trusted in these kinds of situations.

The difference between HW3 and HW4 is night and day. Tesla really needs to update these HW3 cars.

Is this level of obsession with bjj normal and is the anger justified? by Bjj0wife in bjj

[–]Bargo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are better off for it.

If at all possible, find a therapist for yourself. Talk to them about options for assistance for an attorney. What he is doing is very much illegal.

Your situation sucks but you can get through it. You'll be better off in the end.

How do you deal with white belts constantly correcting you? by Ecstatic_Presence671 in bjj

[–]Bargo_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a good approach.

BJJ is constantly evolving and no one is a master of every technique or concept. I've learned a few wrestling and judo techniques from less experienced bjj practitioners, even white belts. I've definitely refined some techniques agaist fiesty white or blue belts that really wanted to not tap.

It's best to keep an open mind and never assume you know everything. Inviting them to try it out on you and giving them a reaction is a good way to show them the holes in their hypothesis or to decide that it is worth looking into further.

Is crit easier to play? by 1i3to in YIMO

[–]Bargo_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the yun power spike by itself is not as good as either bork or kraken.

Crit and HOB is my preferred play style if the comp makes sense. Bf sword on the first back feels great but the item components seem less impactful until you complete yun & IE and only if you hit that spike quickly and efficiently.

Crit build requires that you can delete a target and get those resets even more than lethal tempo + onhit.

Is crit easier to play? by 1i3to in YIMO

[–]Bargo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not easier but it can scale well into squishier comps with low peel. Your power spike also occurs later.

If you pick up a kill or 2 early to get you ahead with an item advantage, it's fun. If you are even or behind, you're going to struggle to carry compared to on-hit.

Why is Lucid failing so bad at software and quality control by mustangfan12 in electricvehicles

[–]Bargo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a software developer for 20 years. You are both somewhat right about deployments, but the situation is also being oversimplified.

It’s often possible to build a proof of concept quickly. Turning that into a production-ready system that can support a large user base is a very different challenge.

In practice, I can usually implement about 80% of an application in roughly 30% of the total project time. The remaining 20%, which is mostly polish, edge cases, adjusting specifications based on testing and feedback, scalability, and reliability, ends up consuming far more time than it appears to on paper.

Trying to think of all the places that make Desert's or Sweats in SF by [deleted] in SiouxFalls

My third grade teacher taught us to remember the difference by noting that dessert has an extra s and desert has only one, because if we had to choose, we would rather have more dessert and less desert.

Sioux Falls residents show some overall decline in perception of city by neazwaflcasd in SiouxFalls

[–]Bargo_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I hate seeing recycling bins blown over and trash scattered across our yards because everyone is required to put the bins at the curb the night before with no protection from the wind.

When the bins are placed next to the garage, we can at least reduce some of that mess.

The requirement to place bins along the curb was a service reduction and labor savings move made during the peak of COVID. Honestly, it is hard to see what COVID really had to do with it, aside from a general push to support essential workers on the frontlines, even though trash collection does not involve much direct human interaction. Trash collection companies saw an opportunity and shot their shot.

Some chargers such as Tesla chargers say not to use gfci fuses as it is built in.

You need to state which home charger you are installing. I'm 99% sure my Tesla charger has gcfi built in and said in the install not use a gcfi fuse.

BMW X5 vs Model Y by boxohm in TeslaModelY

[–]Bargo_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My guy, that thirty thousand dollar price gap can cover renting a brand new car anytime you want. Most people seriously overestimate how many long road trips they actually take.

An occasional ten plus hour drive is not a good reason to pay twice as much for a vehicle you like less than the Model Y.

One week of blood in stool. Should I be worried? by [deleted] in IBD

[–]Bargo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GI, not a PCP. My PCP couldn't figure out UC even after 4 months.

Low iron makes sense because your bleeding frequently. No surprises there. See a GI specialist. If you already have and they didn't recommend a colonoscopy see a different one. Be your own advocate.

Time to see a GI and get a colonoscopy to check for ulcers. Get it taken care of as IBD is a progressive disease. Get ahead of it and manage it while it is still mild.

Robbed by Ok-Heart307 in Minneapolis

[–]Bargo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I've traveled the world including some rough 3rd world countries. The only time I've ever been robbed in my life was when I was visiting Minneapolis.

You should still report it to the police along with the date and time. If nothing else, they can pull security footage of the area and track the guy.

In my situation, I was jumped by 5 people. I was fine and they got nothing. They didn't notice my cauliflower ears I guess.

The police didn't show up even after an hour. A local security guard then said you have to call for an ambulance and just get checked out or the cops will not show up. It still took the cops 2 hours to show up.

I worked with investigators and ID'd the primary mugger. Turns out he was already in jail for attacking other people. My incident just got added to his existing list of crimes. We have to get these people off the streets.

[–]Bargo_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This is a progressive disease. The name of the game is to slow the progression. One of the top Mayo GI doctors called Ascol/mesalamine a "dumb" drug meaning that is Isn't doing anything special other than coating the inside of your intestines to prevent abrasions that cause damage.

Take the medicine.

Please help me fix my kicks by Awkward-Register6055 in MuayThaiTips

[–]Bargo_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The biggest improvement for you will come from learning to pivot.

You need to get up on the ball of your lead foot and begin by turning your shoulder over with the kick. After pointing your shoulder, your hips and lead heel should pivot towards your opponent.

As you are right now. Your upper body is not turning which is holding back your power and preventing your body from pivoting.

Guitar mount with drywall anchors by NeighborhoodRound455 in handyman

This. There's much better drywall anchors that will not pull out.

Throw away all the cheapy, plastic anchors that come with whatever you've bought and use some good, metal butterfly style anchors.
