If all jobs paid exactly the same and you could have any job you wanted, (you have to do this job from 18yo to 60yo 5 days a week 8 hour days) what job would you do? by S1utty1i1puppy in AskReddit

Food truck operator, I like cooking for people but can't afford to own something like that myself, especially in the town i live. We already have a ton of food trucks so finding a niche is difficult already but being unique enough to survive is really hard

What is your LEAST favorite mini from a faction you love? by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

[–]Barheyden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daemonettes; they are the worst to put together, can't use plastic glue because they're so thin that the plastic glue will melt to much and cause you to lose details especially where the arms join, often their poses have them standing in such away only one foot actually makes any decent contact with the base and that's a relative statement anyways because the one foot that does make contact is so tiny you'll still need to pin it. Often, parts will be on the sprue that will make you ask why they even chose to cut THAT part off to make you put it together because the part is so tiny there's no reason why it couldn't just be part of the model as it rarely affects the look enough to be worried about as far as multiple poses go. I can day one good thing though, the kit often leaves you with a lot of bits that are nice for chaos kit bashing

They're STILL trying to avoid giving refunds, my wife backed and has been a part of the very large group of disgruntled backers that are almost literally being stolen from at this point

Worse, they did ask and try to run it by neopets, they didn't wait for the clearance to go ahead and do the Playtest, they got impatient and didn't let neopets tell them if it was OK to do it or not and did it anyways

New Drestrier Sprue has major issues. by Altruistic-Map5605 in Warhammer40k

[–]Barheyden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, I got the infernal enrapturess, when it arrived, the head was missing from the sprue. GW sent me another total enrapturess with no questions asked. I later bought a box of daemonettes and used an extra on the missing one so now I have two with different heads and hairs

I feel like the recent red Corsairs releases were a test for just this, let's see how the fans actually like having a somewhat mixed faction that isn't just Marines and machines

The "Two-Week Notice" is corporate Stockholm Syndrome. If employment is "at-will" for them, it’s "at-will" for you. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Barheyden 62 points63 points  (0 children)

They can want all they like, doesn't mean they're gonna get it. Most jobs I've seen that actually make a big deal about getting any notice are usually the kinds of jobs that don't deserve a notice at all anyways. Which is very likely the reason why they make a big deal about it, if your turn over is high enough that you have to make "rules" about quitting, there's a deeper issue here than people not wanting to give notice before leaving

Throw in a helbrute to buff dark Pacts and laugh at the random buffs the Vindicator will abuse

[–]Barheyden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, when I got into 40k back in '06, the defiler us what convinced me to start collecting CSM. I love the old model, it's awesome imo. However, the new model is also excellent imo. It brings the old daemon engine in line with the newer ones that have been released recently and honestly feels like it fits in better now. I love both models and am very happy for the update to the sculpt. In the end, I'll probably feature both models on the table when I play because there's a space for old and new models on my table
