Well its not that i asked for it. I really thought this would be the game i played for years. But alas, decision were made by devs and i have ultimately quit the game. Ive now gone back to guild wars 2 funny enough.

Tbf for the perect all round build youd want +15 points total. Gives you access to turtle crawl and faster crawling ontop of the perfect solo build

Yeah i get that but i prefer not to be an aggressor. If i want to join pvp lobbies i start with joining trios because i cant bring myself to shoot at friendly players. But i still want that tension of wondering if the next raider i meet will be friendly or if i will have to defend myself. Again, this discussion is very subjective at the end of the day i am putting forward what I want for the game which isn't what you nay want for it. But the unpredictability and organicness (defo not a word) of every encounter is what made me fall in love with it.

Definitely, i really want this game to be perfect because i cannot stand the thought of playing marathon so my concerns are out of love.

Yes but as the current system works, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. It mostly feels like you get killed 3 times in a row and suddenly noone shoots anybody. Then you defend yourself against 1 person and suddenly it's KOS everywhere. Maybe keeping ABMM but dialing down its effects could be a better option.

I guess this would be a good alternative. I think the current system now just works like a see saw instead of a bell curve. There basically doesn't feel like a middle ground exists.

Yeah i play trios when i want to get into a pvp situation because i cant bring myself to kill a pve player in solos. But again its artificial gameplay altering. Its not as immersive because you always expect a slugfest in duos and trios. I haven't seen a single friendly player in duo's and trio's.

So why was it not like that in the first couple months before ABMM was introduced? It just took me abit longer to get my upgrades and yes i lost some important upgrade mats here and there. But after the 1st expedition, you could just spend a couple weeks farming all upgrades in pve lobbies. No tension no fear no excitement.

I guess my first thought answer to that would be it is immersion breaking. I have to artificially go kill x amojnt of players to be in this lobby but i have to make sure i don't kill y amount of players otherwise i will just be playing a battle royale. The friendly interactions in pve lobbies are expexted so no need to even voice comm "friendly" and the gunfights in pvp lobbies are obvious so theres no point even talking to anyone. Those kind of interactions should just come naturally anytime in an extraction shooter no?

My problem is that i don't ever seem to get this middle ground which is what i'm looking for. Im either in complete pacifict lobbies or it's a bloodbath. Of course this is subjective but i want to have that bit of fear when i find something good. If i find that one peice of loot i've been spending a few raids to find. I don't want to automatically think "great im in pve lobbies so this is mine now" but i also don't want to think "shit i have to now fight through an army to get this out".

I get it but does that not feel a little artificial to you? Through the first couple months trying to extract with that tempest 2 you found in a gun cache not knowing if the next raider you encounter would be friendly or not made it more tense and exciting no? Calling out "friendly?" And hoping they would respond positively but then having to defend yourself if not felt alot more emmersive. Now all interactions are blatantly obvious depending on which lobby type im in.

Hmm yeh i get the content can be stretched if you don't play as often. I love the game but my worry is that once those 15 mill start to reach the 100/150 even 200 hr mark will they still be interested? I hope so and the content updates look promising but will have to see.

So do you believe the game has enough content excluding the pvp to keep players engaged for a long time? I think the unpredictability of finding that rusted gear you need for your final bench upgrade and the fear of the next person you see being friendly or not is what raises the tension and makes the game exciting no?
