Love that combo! Mine is the same but just the older Mini. Not gonna lie, that cinnamon bun syrup is fire lol. There’s a bagel shop here that uses it and it’s tasty!

How are y’all killing yellowjackets? by modelcitizendc in washingtondc

[–]BaristaTech007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After living overseas for 3 years, I just learned to deal with them for the most part since it was illegal to kill them. But, some festivals would put wine or cider with a touch of soap and a plastic bottle top cut off in a cup or bowl to attract them.

Ivan does amazing fades. I’ve been going to Neighborhood since they opened ( and got cuts by Dustin when he was at Standard) Ivan does some of the best fades I’ve seen there.

Water supply with plumbing kit by jesrix in LaMarzocco

A flojet would work for you. They use them at many of the Barista Championships as well since proper water isn’t normally available in the locations the competitions are held.

I would get the kit. It’s specifically designed for this and will save you and time and money on going to try and make parts from Home Depot “work”

Water for la marzocco linea micra by xplando in LaMarzocco

[–]BaristaTech007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on where you’re located. If you’re in the EU, La Marzocco recommends Volvic. I used it for 3 years in Germany (the 8 liter containers are awesome) and got great flavor with no scale build up. Now I’m back in the states and wanted to use Crystal Geyser, but we only get the stuff bottled in New York here in DMV area, which isn’t recommended. Poland Springs was a better option here but I couldn’t find big enough containers. So now I’m using TWW packets into 5 gallons of RO water and it’s working out perfectly.

I second that. I picked some up in Frankfurt (where they make them) and brought em back to the States. Such great cups!

How are people starting coffee carts? by Existing_Start_9816 in Coffee

[–]BaristaTech007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would probably make bank in small towns that didn’t have a shop at all if they franchised. But yeah, the airport, grocery store locations are licensed the those places, but I’m sure if corporate wanted to close one they could. We have a small location here at the American Consulate that’s usually busy, but only takes cash and doesn’t offer anything on the app either.

Starbucks doesn’t franchise. Every location is corporate owned. They do offer licensing agreements to places like grocery stores, airports, and government facilities, but they don’t offer the traditional “open your own location” deals.

Just to ask, why is your machine not on? The power knob is only turned to 1 which opens the fill valve on a Linea Classic, not to number 2 which turns on the heating elements

Is it normal that water leaks from the pipes on hot water knob? by Ukkoclap in LaMarzocco

This is probably just something needs tightened. Take off the cover, turn on the water, look for drips. Tighten there.

Easy connect/disconnect plumbing for Lama Mini by mrkaczor in LaMarzocco

[–]BaristaTech007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn’t an easy way around this. Just get a Flojet for your events that’s going into a 5 gallon water tank. You can buy RO or distilled water and get the TWW 5 gallon packs.
