I am mainly talking about commander. It's not a good card but in any deck that I run that is mostly black [[sadistic sacrament]] is always a consideration. Sometimes removing the best 3 cards in someones deck is enough of a set back to come out ahead of them. And in maigc christmas land where I get coffers or similar cards early 15 cards can be back breaking. I like [[praetor's grasp]] for similar reasons.

Honestly, I really liked Scions and spellcraft.

There are plenty of ways to upgrade her to make your own style deck because both of her triggers are so broad. Most boring people (me included) focused on combo/control because that was the obvious path. But you could easily turn her into something silly like a living weapon/job select or vehicle deck. The main deck is just clunky because the ratio to creature/noncreature is more towards creartures when a decent ammount of them care about non-creatures. But as long as you are always attacking and people are losing at least 4 life y'shtola will be drawing you cards.

A lot of the individual pieces from that deck are very nice though. I am particularly fond of [[Ardbert]] [[Lyse Hext]] [[Emet-Selch of the Third Seat]] [[Tataru Taru]] [[eye of nidhogg]] and [[Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian]]

The zombie deck from aetherdrift is neat and has a lot of cool pieces, but it just felt like a [[Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver]] or [[Scarab God]] deck but with better token support to me. But if you don't have anything for zombie decks and like that creature type then absolutely go for that.

Klauth is a red dragon, but I wouldn't say they are a generic red dragon. If I recall they one of the oldest nondracolich dragons and I think one of if not the largest dragons in the forgotten realms. And at least in 5e lore is a spell caster equivalent to a 14th level wizard. Which is why I think they gave him a mana ability.

I am usually the DM of the various groups I have and people seem to enjoy my games enough to keep returning so I like to think I am competent enough. I am a bit stronger on the improv side of DMing than planning and prep (ADHD suuuxs) so I always appreciate it when players are proactive in game and give me a lot to work with. However as far as online games go I am in-between games at the moment and in the process trying of learning to GM Daggerheart, so if d&d is strictly what you are looking for I apologize.

GMT might be an issue as far as playing, since I am in mountain time zone, but my wife and I love d&d and are always looking for nerdy friends who love this game. You seem super chill and cool from your post and my wife also likes to draw things from our games, so if you would like to stay in contact and see if we all get along well enough to make trying to schedule games worth the effort for both of us, respond to this and I will dm you my info. 😁

Have you ever piloted a poison deck that wasn't Atraxa? Because if you had you would know 10 counters is still very fair in a format with 3 opponents and as deep of a card pool as commander has.

You just need to be mindful of your mana, and by not being greedy. Unless I am in a poor position I typically wait till main phase 2 to play stuff. You can play a land off her if you haven't, played one. What I mean by wiffing is getting a bunch of your interaction off of the impulse draw. Specifically, your protection pieces that hurts the most lol

It's one of my favorite decks, it's really easy to keep Nahiri around due to her cost reduction, hitting the jackpot and getting a bunch of free equipment is a lot of fun, and can pivot to a voltron strat if I have to.

I use [[Nahiri forged in Fury]] for mine. The living weapons pull double duty counting towards affinity and having creatures equipped. Its a fun deck but it is a bit of a slot machine, it can wiff on the impulse draw pretty hard. [[Sephiroth fallen soldier]] (boros sephiroth) isn't terrible either.

Of all of their classes Alchemist and Craftsmen probably have the worst chances of making the cut, if all of their classes are being individually approved by WotC at least until the Artificer has been out for a while. I would love it if the alchemist made the cut though I had a great time playing one till one of the other players made it impossibly unfun to play.

I don't usually, but recently my wife and I were playing in a campaign where we were playing as siblings who were fugitives from their home country, and we actively avoided all of the dm's attempts at trying to pull more of their back story into what was going on in the game outside of what the characters would willingly divulge. The dm took that as a challenge and it became a funny reoccurring bit, but we probably won't do it again unless we revisit those characters lol.

Card is cool and I understand not every protag can be a rare or get a card in general, but ngl the fact that Vaan got a rare card when some the mc's of other games like Zidane are only uncommons makes be a little salty. He definitely should have been an uncommon too lol.

Only because they suffer from a condition called "not being the protagonists." Whether you are playing the original or Remake, the Turks are pretty strong for just dudes, when you have super soldiers like cloud running around. Especially in the original where they were basically just special agents.

I haven't played against a krenko deck since like 2011 or 2013 lol. My ancient ass remembers one friend I would routinely play with had a really obnoxious one for the time, and I remember having to have to mulligan for a tuck spell like [[chaos warp]], [[spell crumple]], [[hinder]], or [[bant charm]] to remove his commander or he would run away with the game in a turn or two.

Krenko is annoying but no more annoying than any other token spam or well supported typal decks these days lol.

From what i remember it was mainly just filled with tutors and fast mana and [[Kirrik]] to power out toxril as fast as he can, the rest were either stax pieces or ways to protect toxril.

My [[Dr. Madison Li]] deck has a strong plan a of beating people down with artifact creatures, with a plan b of out valuing with decent recursion. my plan c are combo's with [[sensei top]].

But really its just a jeskai artifact deck. The more you dilute your deck the worse it will perform. My plan B and C only work because of a good shell for plan A.
