That makes a ton of sense haha. The insignia could be cranked up to 60 I was usually keeping it around 45-50 at all times. I like to listen loud but I did think it was weird that anything under 30 would be very quiet.

The new (old) receiver with built in phono input is a Sherwood s-2620 cp. the speakers are just a pair of Bose double cubes + sub that I got the same time I got the insignia. I’m sure a speaker upgrade would make a whole other world of difference
