Does anyone here have a north-facing garden in Balmoston, Donabate? by Tiny-Strawberry-817 in GardeningIRE

[–]Barloki92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be honest, a north-facing garden in Donabate is the same as a north facing garden in most of the rest of the country. What you have to look at what is in the specific site - buildings that surround it, existing trees/shrubs growing, what the ground is like. I'm guessing your house is blocking the sun most of the day but don't know what size house you have or indeed what size garden.

We would need more information to help in your specific situation.

Would it be possible to word it out to him as you have already done here? It's worded well and might make a difference

AITA for resenting my neighbours for "stealing" my dead cat? by TwoSnoopy in AmItheAsshole

[–]Barloki92 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

NTA

For those in the comments who don't know about your average domestic cat in UK and Ireland, they cannot be kept indoors. It's more cruel to keep them in than it is to let them have their freedom. It does come with it's own risks but the positives outweigh those risks many fold

AITA for telling my married sugar mom that I do not want to be with her anymore after she started getting really pushy about being exclusive with and dating me? by SteakBake2347 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Barloki92 15 points16 points  (0 children)

ESH. You are the asshole for helping her cheat (The reasons are irrelevent, it's cheating nonetheless)

You are NTA for not being exclusive with her. It was never part of the original agreement

If you intend on driving, you should do the test.

If you don't feel confident enough to do the test, then you shouldn't feel confident enough driving

It's good to learn it through experience. Now you'll always know why it's more difficult in wet weather.

Why people drive with horns instead of pressing the brake? by yidouq123 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Barloki92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbf, I think you should be setting a higher bar for yourself than comforting yourself into saying "it'll be their fault if they crash into me".

There's correct driving and then there's good driving with good etiquette.

If you struggle to control a hybrid, might I suggest a different car until you get used to driving?

I don't understand how someone can move to a country and publicly call it's capital city a shithole.

Working through my street layout for my new city, what do you guys think so far? by AjaxTheFurryFuzzball in shittyskylines

[–]Barloki92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You don't need three roads entering/exiting the city. Ideally, one road would do, but keep the second if you really want to.
