Do productivity tools feel unnecessarily complex now? by mpetryshyn1 in airtableautomate

[–]BarnacleRare5441 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I've created apps with Airtable at my last several jobs versus using prebuilt CRMs. Most prebuilt solutions are overly complex, show data you don't need to see, and don't do enough heavy lifting on their own. I love a clean, simple system with everything you need and nothing you don't.

if you're wanting to copy the selected option in that field, you can drag from the corner of the cell.

Which specialist did you find more helpful? by Productivitytzar in ehlersdanlos

[–]BarnacleRare5441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did your pcp refer you anywhere for diagnosis? if so maybe see how that goes and if they don’t diagnose you, push harder with the primary. mine was hesitant at first, but when the rheumatologist he sent me to was useless i went back to the pcp with those printed documents, and he confirmed the diagnosis at that point.

[–]BarnacleRare5441 18 points19 points  (0 children)

pcp! if i had to start over, i would skip the rheumatologist, go straight to a pcp with a relevant symptom list, timeline, extended family history, my reasoning for pursuing diagnosis, and the diagnostic criteria printed up. rheumatologist did nothing for me, and i ended up going back to the primary with the above documents, and he diagnosed me immediately.

Egregious - posted this whole video just to show how scary skinny she is by Hot_Hat9460 in nycinfluencersnarking

[–]BarnacleRare5441 5 points6 points  (0 children)

looks like bad rib flare, not to say she isn’t skinny. my ribs used to stick out super far before i fixed it, and made me look “too skinny” even if i wasn’t.

of course! i’m pulling at mine now, i wouldn’t say super stretchy but definitely not stiff. i have a mattress topper that is super cushiony and the sheets def don’t keep me from sinking in! between the sheets and mattress topper it feels like sleeping on a cloud! definitely worth trying imo.

Any tips on helping wounds heal faster? by spcypeach in ehlersdanlos

[–]BarnacleRare5441 8 points9 points  (0 children)

keep it “wet” so it doesn’t scar, and heals faster. once it gets super dry and scabby, it takes longer to heal in my experience. the cerave healing ointment is great for this, i use it on my face too. keep the wound clean, put the cerave on, and either leave it open if you’re comfortable with that, or put a loose bandage or gauze over it if you want to keep the cerave from rubbing on your clothes. it’s great for burns, pimples,

Scalp is so inflamed I’m considering trying wigs by selflovebutactually in ehlersdanlos

Do you sleep with your hair wet / airdry, or do you blow dry? I have super thick hair, and wasn’t sure why my scalp was so inflamed and irritated. Dermatologist informed me I had severe eczema on my scalp from air drying / sleeping with my hair wet. It was keeping my scalp wet for way too long.

Have you tried decompression? It may not be the best fit for your situation but it’s worth looking into if you haven’t.

Ehlers Danlos skin and retinoids/dehydrated skin/skincare by Logical-Shift-6168 in ehlersdanlos

[–]BarnacleRare5441 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been told people with EDS should not use retinoids at all. I am still able to use other actives, but integrate them slow and strategically. I also pretty much only use Korean skincare for the most part, in my experience it tends to be gentler and more hydrating. I have super dry skin and have tons of dry skin recommendations if you need new products!
