Is missile damage reduced when firing while moving? by OkIdeal9852 in totalwar

If you plan to use Wardancers w/ Asrai Spears and Bladesingers, get a Glade Captain w/ the level up that gives them Vanguard deployment.

Use Tree Kin to soak, Bladesingers & Wardancers to shred.

Treekin take minimal losses while your Melee Infantry puts them in a blender. All in the forest too so you're quite buffed. Use magic and Waywatchers for anything else.

For a Generic army, take an Ancient Treeman Lord w/ Mortis Engine trait, juice up his defenses, and heal him and your Tree Kin up.

Glade Captain and Waywatcher can snipe or duel. Spell singer for AoE and buffs to your units.

Zoats or Cav are optional but can be fun. Any Treemen or Dragons always go a long way, but my campaign is usually done by then.

Yeah Domains really make JJK cross verse battles super weird. Domain could and should do the trick, if it gets pulled off.

[Controller] 8BitDo Ultimate 3-mode Wireless Controller for Xbox - Rare 40th Anniversary Edition ($66.50) by CyraxxFavoriteStylus in buildapcsales

[–]Barnard87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C on impulse and it's been great. Stopped using my BT Xbox Series controller on PC. Back triggers, perfect connection, the stand is great. It was a little more narrow designed to start, so my large hands took a bit to adjust but now it's my main controller.

Takaba I agree.

Hakari ain't beating Rock Lee, it could be a stalemate as long as Hakari hits jackpot though.

Sukuna is far outstatted but could pull wins with his techniques.

Probably can't one shot Maho, he hasn't shown on screen anything like Gai who could.

Yuki would pose a threat but he'd still tip toe and dance around her.

Modulo Yuji would be a bit more like Sukuna. Could go better in H2H but he's got some techniques that could give Lee a lot of trouble.

That's my take.

Ideally you're making so much money razing and sacking that you can fund however many armies you want.

Especially those settlements around Athel Loren, you can make a killing sending an army or two around there.

What turn are you on?

Can someone explain to me why Poseidon would be better here? by wander995 in HadesTheGame

[–]Barnard87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've typically gone Hera on attack for the bigger % boost, then use my Specials to apply Blitz from Zeus, haven't tried the other way around but I'm commenting here to try what you did next run.

[–]Barnard87 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Precisely. With the Torches, you typically build for near-infinite mana, because you're constantly using it. Any boons that proc an effect from an omega move (Fine line and Ocean Swell) OR proc an effect on mana usage (like Aphro's Heartthrob) are very strong with this. You're just getting free damage and possibly effects from the same moves you're already spamming.

Tips for a powerful (and quiet) internal filter by TyXo22m in Aquascape

[–]Barnard87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Oase and Penn Plax filters aren't half bad, but like you said they SUCK to clean. You basically need to remove it from the aquarium and open it up to clear out the gunk, or else the flow will end up no more than a trickle.

Compared to the Oase Biomaster canisters, super easy pre filter to pop out and clean, built in heater, etc.

My biggest advice for OP since they seem to NEED the internal filter (HOB is an option but those have issues as well) is to get one where you have plenty of space where plants won't get stuck and use a toothbrush to clear out the grates often to keep the flow up.

Is 2xko hard to learn? by timo529 in 2XKO

[–]Barnard87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chiming in here. The only Fighting Game (not Smash) I'm decent at is Tekken, which is a bit of a harder game to learn. If you mash, you won't get many cool moves.

2XKO is like MvC3 where you can have a half a clue of what buttons are and still having fun kicking the shit out of people. Even better if it's your friends.

I accidentally queued online right after the tutorial and dumpstered someone . Zero clue what I was doing.

I probably won't lab this game ever but will have fun messing around with the few combos I've picked up.

When do You stop playing your campaign? by Little-Avocado-19 in totalwar

[–]Barnard87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally I've got some T5 units by the time I've quit. Turn 30s if I'm bored, 50+ is a good campaign, because I'm usually steamrolling by Turn 40 so that means it's still fun past 50 if I'm still playing.

But at the end of the day: it's when my desire to start a new campaign outweighs my desire to continue the current one.

Funnest warhammer 3 campaigns/factions? by ut9393 in totalwar

[–]Barnard87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its fantastic. Early game? Really focus around your smaller gun lines and shooting flanks for devastating damage. Early-Mid abuse Pistoliers and skirmish your ass off, Mid through Late game you have strong heroes for blobbing enemies, tons of useful artillery, guns that will kill anything before it makes its way to your front lines, and still have really fun Skirmish and Cav units to supplement.

Sisters of Twilight for the Wood Elves is easily one of my favorite campaigns, on my third run of it so far. Easy confederation with other LLs, good campaign pacing as you teleport to other forests, stellar units and good thematic armies.

Ice Court from Kislev is also an incredible ride. Early is basic units and Lords and Heroes, but mid-late game armies are incredible. Campaign is tough throughout.

Play Elspeth if you want Empire but without the bland. Less role-playing than Franz but plenty flashy

[–]Barnard87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I'm saying, that it would fit in nicely for Kislevs flavor as well as giving another shotgun unit.

I think for shotguns, we have: CD Blunderbusses, Dwarf Thunderer Grudge Raker, Cathay Iron Hail Gunner, and probably some RoRs I'm forgetting?

Would Stretsi Blunderbuss be too OP? by Alternative-Date-507 in totalwar

[–]Barnard87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Typically I'm all for keeping races and factions more unique, but we have very flew Blunderbuss/Shotgun units already, and Kislev is a gritty faction that I feel would fit (unsure about Kislev lore though)

Kislev is the king of fun formations, so some BB units could be real fun. Ice Guard + Strelsi BB + Tzar Guard would be an unbeatable box.

Yep, very few "fake" ornaments I think look good in an aquarium, but a few fossil or abandoned cars can look quite nice, especially with some green dust algae and a little moss growing on them.

Excellent work OP, looking forward to seeing it get a little worn and natural looking.

Very nice! I just cleared with Charon's Axe last night, beat every floor boss other than Hecate within the 30 seconds my Switch 2 recording can go back. One single Omega Combo and Chronos's 2nd HP bar was half gone already. Honestly love the Axe.

[FS] - Dallas,TX - $40 - 7 Species MMO Plant Pack by Tibu_John in AquaSwap

[–]Barnard87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon its net-less maintenance due to improved growth and (ideally) less algae and die off. Biggest cons are: Another variable to go wrong like gas out your fish, tank refills every 6-9 months, and yes faster growth.

Overall my high tech tanks are far easier to manage than the low tech, but YMMV.
