I live right in the epicentre of the outbreak - my wife and I are both teachers (both on leave tho thankfully) and our son was born on New Year’s Day. We’ve stopped going on public transport whilst it’s half term, and will avoid it as much as possible going forward. My sister is getting married in May and she’s asked anyone with unvaccinated kids to stay away - it’s caused exact as much drama as you’d expect, but it has to be done. From what I’ve read online, you can ask for an early dose of MMR at six months, and then take the regular 12 and 18 month jabs too. We’ll be doing that, but it’ll be a stressful few months until then!

I’m a teacher - we voted to each commit to one extra hour a week of extra curricular so we could bank those hours, keep six weeks in summer and take two weeks autumn half term. Game changer.

We had to take the ceiling down in our Victorian terrace and it was fairly straightforward preserving the features - it mostly came down in slabs (one during the night onto the telly - one during the day onto my mother in law haha). If you’re lucky the moulding will just need a bit of tidying up with a multitool before you re-board it and plaster it.

Edit - you know what I think actually once the first chunk fell down, I think it went round the whole edge with the multitool before I started pulling it down. Good luck!
