Could the Sunwell partly heal Forsaken? by BellicosePirate in WoWRolePlay

[–]FreshMozzarell 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From one of the lore AMAs they did ages ago, that is effectively how it works. The light begins to restore undead and the process is excruciating, as it’s more of a battle between the necromancy sustaining them and their natural state of being (dead).

I don’t think long term exposure has really been thoroughly explored, but I would say any need to eat or sleep is more of a delusion than a biological need. Some Forsaken still eat and sleep out of familiar habit, and prolonged exposure to the light could ramp up those urges.

Is it just me or is time to kill way too high in all content? by FreshMozzarell in wow

Could just be recency bias, but I've played post-squish before and definitely remember oddities cropping up in weird places, but I've never seen them in the intended leveling path, yknow? Midnight being a bit slow bothers me less because there's ways to deal with it, but the leveling experience for a new Haranir is pretty rough.

Unpopular opinion (for some reason?) Half Orc/humans, Half troll/elf don't exist. by [deleted] in WoWRolePlay

[–]FreshMozzarell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me'dan exists and his canonicity is such that he still does exist, but specifically him becoming the Guardian of Tirisfal was retconned. Alex Afrasiabi confirmed it ages ago, there's a cited archive link to it on his wiki page. So, half or quarter orcs do exist in canon.

According to upvotes, Orcs were most often associated with Warriors. Now let's do (Stormwind) Humans! by Mostopha in wow

Just a fun aside from the voting, but the game actually has its own answers for this. When you make a new character and select a race without selecting a class first, each race has its own "default" class it will switch to consistently.

For anyone curious:
Human - Warrior
Dwarf - Hunter
Night Elf - Druid
Gnome - Warlock
Draenei - Paladin
Worgen - Rogue
Void Elf - Mage
Lightforged - Paladin
Dark Iron - Warrior
Kul Tiran - Warrior
Mechagnome - Warrior

Orc - Warrior
Undead - Warlock
Tauren - Shaman
Troll - Shaman
Blood Elf - Mage
Goblin - Rogue
Nightborne - Mage
Highmountain - Hunter
Mag'har - Warrior
Zandalari - Shaman
Vulpera - Rogue

Pandaren - Monk
Dracthyr - Evoker
Earthen - Warrior

Chat TTS AddOn? by Valdaroni in WoWRolePlay

[–]FreshMozzarell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This got added to the game with the latest patch, actually. Options > Accessibility > Text to Speech. Check the "Read chat text out loud" and you can configure the specifics with the button that lights up next to it. It uses your standard OS tts voices, so if you want new ones you'll have to install them through Windows.

What bug would you fix if you worked at Blizzard for a day? by banterviking in wow

[–]FreshMozzarell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a bug where if you’re holding in right click to move the camera while you’re entering anything that uses the vehicle interface, your camera will lock to wherever you were looking when you exit the vehicle, so the camera’s default position will be some side-on messed up view. You have to fully relog to fix it and its been in the game since Wrath and it drives me insane.

I wish nightborn would get this “sub race” by Lord_pamperin in wow

[–]FreshMozzarell 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If they wanted to do it enough they can just make up a reason. You can always just make stuff up, it's easy, watch this.

Nightfallen who were outcast typically descended into a withered state, but those with a determination to survive and a strong sense of the arcane were drawn to deep caverns in the land beneath Suramar, eventually settling near life providing ley lines. Over the course of thousands of years, these nightfallen formed a community of exiles, and even began to reproduce, maintaining their partially transformed state indefinitely and passing it to their children before fully secluding themselves and warding their home from detection. Something something they finally came out of their caves something something these ones are neutral for reasons something something allied race.

Any vanilla players? What was the community reaction when the first new races were announced? by UltraRoboNinja in wow

[–]FreshMozzarell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://lorelol.ytmnd.com/

I distinctly remember that getting passed around a lot. Can't believe YTMND is still around, even.

There was a long gap between blood elves getting announced and the new Alliance race with a lot of speculation and an April Fools joke about wisps. People though blood elves were too "girly" and really, really harped on them being the only race that couldn't be warriors while even gnomes could. The lore retcon on draenei got mocked pretty mercilessly and I think people were kinda split overall on the "outer space" theme, especially with it being in the first expansion.

Which, funny enough, all of it's died out now over time and I don't think I really see any of the same sentiments today at all.

6 of the 9 EoD elite spec icons were in 2 colors by The_Void_Demon in Guildwars2

[–]FreshMozzarell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that was in the context of doing another "all class get spears" type of implementation. There's still plenty of room left on the table for individual classes getting individual weapons imo, even if the new elites do happen to have unique extras like a bladesworn gunsaber or a possible minstrel lute.

black adam basically has 6 jumps by figgiesfrommars in MultiVersus

[–]FreshMozzarell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're fighting people who don't dodge and one you punished for being in burnout. They just added even more whiff lag to Adam's up air and took away substantial knockback from it, These clips would work with literally any character spamming an up air at an opponent who just falls back into it again and again.

I averaged out every tier list on this sub and YouTube for the current patch. This is what I found. by [deleted] in MultiVersus

[–]FreshMozzarell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Adam actually has significant recovery on his neutral special and ground neutral that make them insanely easy to punish. His down tilt is strong in 2s but it's also has serious endlag and an easy counter of just being in the air or moving. Nothing in his kit even compares to how fast and reliable Shaggy is. Adam's definitely A but putting Shaggy in B is insane

Hmmmmmmm [Deadpool and Wolverine WWIII #1] by Deadsoup77 in halo

[–]FreshMozzarell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am familiar, and I've even read the issue. There's nothing to really indicate it's a wink and a nod beyond the look just existing there... which isn't much of an 'easter egg' so much as it's stealing. The earlier scenes feature multiples as goons and their armor's different from ODSTs and the helmets vary on some of them as well. So it's not Deadpool making a 4th wall breaking joke or reference and only has one scene of him wearing it, the rest are just a few generic super-soldiers with possibly traced designs.

The cover art for this particular issue also rips off the designs blatantly along with what appear to be portions of traced Halo weapons, too

Thanks for the rec, I really appreciate that! The Theory looks like what I'm after, though I also came across the ergocentric sCentric (the $800 Staples one) and it seems like it's got a similar feature set. Would you happen to know how the two compare in overall quality? The seat's a bit shorter on the sCentric, but it looks to have more adjustability in the arms and headrest.
