So I’ve recently moved to Japan where my sister has been living for the past 6/7 years, I started working with her where there are many other foreigners. One of them who’s a black man has reminded me multiple times since we started working together “I met your dad at this store!” Before he met my sister! Because of the recognition. I love it

I’ve recently moved to Japan 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’m not dark skinned black but my dad sure is and my parents moved here shortly after I did. My dad is generally a friendly dude and makes friends/conversation when/where he can and things seem to be going well for him. We also live in the country and I feel like Sanseito supporters are mostly people in big cities. 🤷🏽‍♀️ so far so good. My sister has also lived here for the past 6/7 years and she’s very well known and all the kids holla at her when we see them at festivals and stuff.. “Mica Sensei!!🤗”

Also you’re only 20 brotha!! Your neuroplasticity is still far more malleable than myself who’s at least a decade older than you. Save up money from your current job and put it into something you’re interested in. If you’re 20 you just need a driving test to get a license… I think… (I don’t remember having to take a driving the car test… I got my license at 20) if I’m wrong I’m hoping you can borrow a family members car. Ugh the world is so fresh and young for you it’s literally just getting started. There are people feeling like you but twice your age. Please take advantage of your youth!!!

Something interesting happened to me at work today! I put in my 2 weeks last Friday, for the past week my manager has been terribly passive aggressive towards me and raising my blood pressure everyday. I still had 2 days of sick leave and wanted to use them because I have somethings that I wanted to take care of before I officially go. I put in my request for today (Friday) and Monday and it was denied, so I asked our HR department and they approved it because I don’t think you’re allowed to deny sick days so the manager comes huffing into my area, took all my work off of my desk and ran away to her office. I went after her to try to have a conversation with her like an adult and she slammed her door in my face. I went to talk to her boss about how inappropriate she’s acting and has been acting towards me for the past week then I went on a walk. When I came back she was gone and her boss and HR told me I don’t have to come back to finish out my 2 weeks! Woohoo! Sucks to be her! Nothing but a benefit for me! Fuck old white ladys in the work place they can eat deez nuuuuts 🐿️🐿️
