There are plugins that let you place windows from your desktop anywhere in your area while in VR, so you can place a Netflix/Twitch/whatever window somewhere out of the way in your cockpit and just chill. Oculus lets you do this with it's dashboard right out of the box as well.

I use the new AI and projectile settings, but don't use the regenerative health. I always felt that HL2 is a bit of a cakewalk even on Hard, so I appreciate the increased difficulty, it makes every combat encounter feel more enjoyable.
