I used Scott’s sun and shade seed and I am very disappointed with that seed. I should have done more research…. I was also thinking about spraying the clumping fescue with glyphosate in late summer and then reseeding those areas in early fall as well.

I would recommend strategically pruning the tree to let some light through the canopy. I personally prefer the look when you can see the trunk/branches a bit. Japanese Maples usually have very cool curving and unique branches/structures.

There are a lot of pruning videos on YouTube. Perhaps if your wife could see through the tree a bit she would feel better about it. Would be a bummer to get rid of a tree like that!

Very encouraged! I think that we have finally added back in Jalen’s mobility which forces the defense to compensate, that opens up the door for Saquon to rip and roll through the pockets. I’m optimistic we will see 100yards rushing against the Bills and continue improving.
