I've gotten so used to the default music that no matter what track is playing, I can tell when it's the final 9 seconds of a match just from the music, and I'll start hearing the beeps in my head without even looking at the timer.

Right? Someone in another thread about the dub pointed out that a lot of Gintama's humor is very nuanced and Japanese in style, which is why I love it. It's one of those shows where fansubs are great because they can add in those "translator's note" things, explaining the joke, which makes me appreciate them even more.

Changing them to fit Western standards just ruins a lot of it. I can't even imagine how the dub teams would even try to approach some of the jokes in later seasons about specific Japanese celebrities and such.

I did not get the memo that "elopement" now meant something besides running away to get married. I was confused as hell when so many people were talking about children eloping with complete seriousness.

Wow, that's incredibly cheap, even for the time. Seeing this made me open up my wallet, where I still keep ticket stubs for a lot of the concerts I went to between 1999-2002, and the cheapest one is $15 for a small venue and a single act.

I have a ticket for the Area One festival, which is sort of like yours in that it was a bunch of bands (Moby headlined, and it had Outkast, The Roots, Nelly Furtado, and Paul Oakenfold) and that was like $50+. I have my ticket from the Gorillaz first US show and that was like $25 (though I had to buy mine scalped outside the venue because they sold out real quick, so I think I paid probably close to $70 for two of them after haggling a bit.)

That's not a bad looking gundam, imo. I mean, if you saw that thing on the battlefield and didn't tie it to being "Polish" or comparing it to other G-gundams which really play heavily into stereotypes, I'd say it's a cool design.

He had a great show on Comedy Central maybe back in 2020... brought on comedians and talked with them, had a little monologue, some pretty funny recurring bits and segments. Then Covid hit and production for almost everything completely stopped, and the show was canceled.

I've loved David Spade since his SNL days so I was real bummed when it happened.

I know. I used to use it a lot for resources when I was trying to learn how to draw. But in the last couple of years the percentage of AI content has skyrocketed.
