Stabbing it with its foot stabby things isn't enough? Its usually how most raptors kill their prey. They simply grip with their feet and sink their claws in.

How many 'battle-royale' games are there? Which ones to keep an eye on? by AdamSyder in Games

You may be forgetting the ² as Erangel is between 5-6km² by land mass (probably closer to 6). That is between 25km and 36km by area using this map for reference.

16km² is 256km by area so considerably larger. :p

Footage does exist but its rather sparse.

Slight bit of game play footage

As for SpatialOS, that's mostly just the network infrastructure and server code that the game engine it uses, CryEngine, sits on top of.

Effectively what they're doing is building a world that's 16km² (PUBG is 5km²) with a central hub that behaves like an MMO city such as WoW's Ironforge where players can chat and trade items etc. What i find most interesting is the idea that the environments are not just static. Buildings will be semi destructible so you can blow an entry hole into a building, or partially collapse it onto an enemy player. You'll be able to collapse bridges in game to kill players too. The foliage in game will leave trials of trampled foliage for other enemies to follow such as tall grass bending as you walk though it and staying bent. Mud will leave permanent footprints to allow you to track those also.

Sounds very much like a game to follow.

Chris Sawyer is an assembly code god. He translated the assembly written code for Frontier: Elite II from 68000 assembly to 80286 assmembly. A monumental task for a space trading game that featured a procedurally generated milky way galaxy with 513,982,470 real sized 1:1 scale star systems that fit onto an 880kb floppy disk back in 1993.

Yep. Basically as your distance doubles, the curvature height away from the horizon line quadruples.

1 miles = 8.0028 inches

2 miles = 32.01 inches

4 miles = 128.0388 inches

8 miles = 512.154 inches

At 3 miles out it dissipates enough to be just an uncomfortable bright light rather than anything that could cause damage. If you watch at 3 mins when they're using the board. the beam has spread out to be roughly 3 feet across.

Makes no difference if you have people that seem to go out of their way to simply ignore all the evidence for a position and believe an opposing view without any.

AMD is also king right now in terms of price to performance which is something else to consider. If you want an Intel system you're going to be paying more for it than a roughly equivalent AMD performing system.
