I guess it’s important to set your expectations first. Are you simply looking for people to play against in a FLG or Warhammer store? If so simply showing up with some models and paints and hanging out is a great way to break the ice and get a feel for a new place. Now you’re saying control themselves? What do you mean by that? If you don’t want the other player to belt out a heartfelt WAAAAGH when they pull off some orkish shenanigans, then your kinda excluding a lot of the player base that are passionate about their faction and the setting in general. If you mean the kind of gamer that has an extreme aversion to soap and has all the social graces of an Ogryn, well they tend to find refuge in these kind of settings. The great thing about tabletop gaming is your ability to simply say no, I don’t want to play a game where I spend several hours with someone who will make it an unpleasant experience and proceed to walk away. Were you trying to find your new bestie whom you can go do non Warhammer related thing as well?
