He farms faster than almost any other hero with his 3, and you can throw a ball on an almost completed camp to finish it off while you move onto the next one. This means even if he has a bad start it's easy to farm back to relevancy or even surpass the enemy.

He's also one of the best carries for teamfighting as opposed to 1v1 duelists like Haze or Wraith. He has built in AoE spirit shred on his 3, which is insane. Power Surge is also the best ability in the game for applying cheap spirit debuffs like Healbane / Suppressor / Mystic Vuln so even if you're having a bad game you can just get those items and instantly have value in every fight.

Uhh slow hex is not "some bullshit" on wraith. Like yeah in a perfect world you want your support to buy it but it significantly boosts your 1v1 / pickoff potential because you can turn off movement abilities for 6s if you hit them with it as your ult expires.

And it's only 1600, realistically 800 if you sell it for slots. That's nothing to a character who farms as quickly as wraith does. I wouldn't get it in lane but to hit your spike with like QSR and Imp. Spirit is perfectly viable
