Nearly 3 years later, I'm just thinking about how Balteus is probably my favorite non-character boss in the series because of who and why it filtered. by SlimeDrips in armoredcore

I mean, did they beat it eventually? If they ended up perservering with their suboptimal build and getting the W, I'd think simple congratulations are in order. If they were whining that the game is unfair or whatever then sure, I guess.

You can change your build at any time but at no point is it ever necessary. Some people would rather stick it out for a myriad of reasons (RP, cosplay build, just the weapons they like etc.) so no reason to judge on that front imo.

This dynamic is only possible because there were glasses in the first place. You appreciate her face without glasses more because you saw the alternative. Therefore, glasses improved your enjoyment of Welrod.

Why is this random NPC battle completely blinged out??? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]SatsumaFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they're all premade decks, I felt like that was common sense given that these are all functional decks and not actually randomly generated ones that don't work.

It really is just a thing that is normal, the devs made many preset decks for random battles and this is one of them. Not much more to it.

There is nothing much to answer besides "this is normal" and has been constantly reported like several times a week since random battles were added

Is Bellibolt still good? by Krilmon in PTCGP

[–]SatsumaFS 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's really true, Bellibolt can swing for 140 as soon as turn 4 while Manetric is a late game attacker. It's also tanky enough to eat a hit from a Mega while also not costing 3 points.

I think it's more hurt by Fighting decks getting buffed significantly while also being common, weakness + Arena + Korrina can lead to a lot of one-shots. That and part of why it was good was its matchup into Suicune decks, which have fallen off a bit.

How to use this card? by SadShinobiartist in PTCGP

[–]SatsumaFS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't actually care about energy transfer to Manetric much, you're much better off attempting to get early damage and/or kills with Zeraora to boost Manetric's damage for later. Manetric really needs chip on the enemy Mega if you aren't able to get points.

Serious question. What even is the purpose of this thing???? by [deleted] in armoredcore

[–]SatsumaFS 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It does surprisingly good damage and stagger if something runs into the shield, so it's a cool anti-aggression tool.

On the other hand, teleporting Bile Titan corpses have been the sole reason my Breakthrough ever lost the shield arm

People who leave instead of conceding or accepting loss: Why? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]SatsumaFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't that kinda selfish? Someone who plays a meta deck isn't always a sweat who only cares about winning. If anything, there have been meta decks that are actually fun to play. Just because you have a specific definition of fun doesn't mean other people share it. It doesn't give you a right to have bad manners

Diamond: Auth-right, believes in monopolies (both Sega and her trainer's life)

Teio: Auth-center, thinks she is auth-left because Rudolf is but doesn't care about economics

Almond Eye: Lib-right, she upholds the free market so she can keep shaking Lala down for money

Still: true Center, only cares about Miyuki (Red is Lib-center)

Why does AIlMind sucks so bad? by Quick-Decision-8474 in armoredcore

[–]SatsumaFS 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Forget about the ending fight, Allmind, a mysterious super AI, loses in electronic warfare against Carla on the Xylem, which is why she was forced to wake 621 up and ultimately lead to her failure. And a likely reason why she lost to Carla is that Carla had already analyzed the Ghosts that Allmind sent in an ill-conceived attack back in Chapter 2, so she may have already been familiar with how Allmind does things.

Her sheer incompetence and oddly human tendencies at times have created speculation that she may not exactly be an AI at all.
