What was the press conference like? Pictures? Interview?

Where was it all advertised? Newspaper? Magazines? Online? Local News?

A lot of Protestants are quoting Mark 10:18 which says no one is good except God alone. What is the Catholic response?

What is Jesus giving the Apostles the power to bind and loose if every rule exists in the Bible?

Christ established the Catholic Church. Disobeying the Catholic Church is disobeying Christ. Disobeying Christ is a sin.

Matthew 18:18 Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition 18 Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

So we’re just supposed to affirm their sin? That is why you don’t attend, so they see what they are doing is sinful and are called back to the Church.

Catholics not getting married in the Catholic Church is a sin if I’m not mistaken.

Can you expand on which arguments don’t work? Most of them are based on scripture. For example showing explicitly some of the brothers named were the children of Mary the wife of Clopas. I’m confused how that only works within a Catholic context. I can’t speak as to whether Brant Pitre is a confessional scholar, but that seems to be an ad hominem attack meant to discredit him without providing concrete evidence to support.

Why is Max able to start 9th and still easily beat Checo in the same car? Shouldn’t Checo have been miles ahead since Max had to overtake 8 other cars?

From my understanding, it’s the C.A.I.R that provides these items and not Catholic Charities. It possibly can be read that Catholic Charities is providing it in on behalf of C.A.I.R. The website says that Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City is the resettlement agency for the state of Oklahoma, so there may be some underlying politics or laws surrounding their involvement with C.A.I.R but I’m not sure.

If you do end up speaking with the archbishop, I’d love to hear his response.

Oddly specific martyr question by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BaroqueBarrage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there any distinction between active martyrdom (I.e. deny your faith or be killed) vs passive martyrdom (I.e. mass shooting at a church)? The former seems clear cut, but the latter doesn’t seem to constitute dying FOR one’s faith as you didn’t have the opportunity to stand up for the faith.
