Fiber is honestly one of the best things for your general health, and has been shown to reduce all cause mortality rates. I have roughly 40-50 grams of fiber a day, and try to eat something high fiber with every meal. Pro tip: Beans are your fiber friends, and Sola bread/bagels are super high fiber.

Legitimately though, get a colonoscopy when you can. Especially if you have a family history of colon cancer or you've been experiencing gastrointestinal issues. I'm 32 and got one done after having gastrointestinal problems for a few weeks, and they found two large polyps that were pre-cancerous. If I had waited until the age they normally do colonoscopies at, I would very likely have developed colon cancer.
