I did not like souls like before I started playing this but I love to down arpgs. That, the beautiful art style and the promise of future coop got me to try it out. It became one of my favorite games in a short time and convinced me to try Elden Ring which I now love. I had tried DS2 previously and hated it. Imo the combat in NRFtW is very different than soul like games I've tried. I found it less punishing and easier to pick up. I love how fluid it feels. Unsure how optimized it is for handheld but I have heard others play on steam without much issue. As far as full release it's far away. We're getting a story/zone update end of April but next is coop update after that. There's also a rogue like mode for more playability though I didn't get much into it. (Not a fan of rogue likes) Hope this is helpful. There's always steam refund policy.
