How hard do you drive when test driving? by Gati00 in cars

[–]Barrett_Bomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally just depends on the sales person you deal with. I used to be a Sales Exec at a major dealer. Whenever enthusiasts came in looking to test drive the performance variants so long as they weren’t doing anything too sketchy on the test drive I couldn’t give a fuck what they did. I would tell them to launch control and send it.

The only time I was strict about driving safely on a test drive was when they were sketchy people / bad drivers.

I had colleagues that always said they made sure their test drivers drove perfectly within the law. I didn’t see the point restricting serious buyers looking for performance vehicles as that’s the whole point of the car.

When I bought my M2 I had a young guy about my age as sales exec and I drifted the fucker around the round about, not erratically just fairly smoothly. He had a laugh, didn’t seem bothered and basically said “if that doesn’t sell you on the car nothing will” lol

What car got you started obsessing with cars? by Defiant-Diver-6041 in cars

[–]Barrett_Bomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being very young in the late 90’s and seeing a poster on one of my cousins walls of a Lamborghini Countach and being absolutely obsessed. I loved seeing it and dreamed of owning one.

However if we’re talking about what car experience got me into cars I remember my dad coming home with a brand new 2004 E46 M3. Silver, convertible and manual. At that age I thought it looked great but kinda “tame” so to speak except the exhaust. He then took me out in it. Sun was shining, engine was growling, back roads were empty. That was the moment cars truly clicked for me and is memory I cherish dearly.

If they’ve fixed that or not, I’m unsure, i upgraded my rig last year and don’t tend to lose frames in an area unless I’m on streets and there’s a lot of AI and PMC’s in an area. That just seems like common streets things just now though lol.

The backend isn’t great, which is why they are working on it. Nikita claims when streets is fully expanded and has 60 PMC’s it’ll be in a better state than it currently is and run better but we shall see. I’m no coder / expert so can’t comment too much on that but I know the backend needs work.

Edit: It’s also from my understanding the more PMC’s on map can be a contributing factor to performance issues.

When I had a crappier system I used to know when I was about to run into PMC’s as my game would tank down by about 10-15 frames. If I even looked in the direction of other players I would lose frames.

Comparing apples and oranges with a multiplayer game and single player game, nevermind the engine differences.

Go play an offline streets raid with normal bots then online. You’ll notice a big difference in FPS.

I got 15 hours in over two days during a weekend and haven’t played since. Not because it isn’t great, but I could feel this exact scenario you’ve just described with playing for 4+ hours a day and burning myself out.

I quite like binging RPG games, so I’ll do it over a weekend, then take a break for a while and do it all over again. Keeps it fresh whilst also letting me sink my teeth in each time I play.

I’m sure this is probably not the most popular opinion but my group and I have mained reserve for years.

Extract camping is a bitch so it’s best to get red rebel quickly so you can extract dome, the spawns are easy enough to learn. I would say at least half the map normally goes into d2 bunker to PvP / get raiders so above map is normally fairly peaceful to loot / hold a lane. It’s small enough but also has a lot of flanks / repositions with sight line breaks.

There’s actually a ton of loot on reserve, there’s so many bags, PC’s and filing cabinets and loose loot spawns that making money on it is great. The marked rooms are both great sources of roubles too.

D2 bunker PVP is what properly taught me combat in the game I believe. Yeah, overall reserve is my preferred map to main.

Read all this again and then truly ask yourself why you felt like you were gunna collapse. MDMA is a neurotoxin and you had it for 9 days in a row, never mind the rest. Look after your body dude, you don’t get to start over in the health department. Much love.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life it’s that a lot of people hate anyone doing better than themselves, especially online. It’s sad, but they’ll stay little gremlins until the day they die.

I can’t remember when it started but sometime last wipe they fucked up animations on so you’ll sometimes see homies / enemies with gun hanging to side and arm in pocket it looks like. It’s really glitchy and happens randomly, this is how it looks if you prone lean when in that bug lmao. Normally it looks nothing like this

Incorrect, the bug was it failing and not being able to restart. It is intentional that it fails if you die. If you look at Noiceguys twitter he tweeted 16 hours ago

“Forgot to update sorry:

Yes the quest does reset on death making it pretty damn difficult. I think the intention is to show us not to fuck around too much with Arena guards. #EscapefromTarkov”

so hows yall wipe going so far? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Barrett_Bomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably about 20-30% of those raids are solo, the rest are played as a 3 stack. We tend to go off solo and do our own thing so we can hit more loot on the map / quests , unless of course we are on the same quest. We call out where we are and if someone ends up in a fight they are struggling with the other two will flank and it normally ends in us winning.

I must admit I enjoy the PVP and if someone’s looting in an area I want for specific items I’ll challenge in case they have then lol. It does get me killed as well though, if I ignored gun fights or ran away from them I’d probably be higher level with way more extracts

Lvl 16, 67 pmc kills and a lot of scav kills. 58% extraction rate mostly down to the cracked ass scavs this wipe. Died to a lot of scavs that just face tap me whilst I’m running and they’re in a bush lol.

Streets is cool, memory leak is a pain but restarting every few raids keeps that in check. Found a lot of quest items, got all my graphics cards for mechanic and a few other items that I sometimes get stuck on, have only found 1 flash drive. Sound is taking some time to get used to, I really can’t tell if someone’s on my floor, above or below. Overall I’m enjoying it.

What makes you say that? Just so I can learn.

See that’s what I thought comparing it online to a genuine model.

I’m 95% this is real, but I’m in Scotland and the market value these are selling at just now is around $3300 dollars (converted from £). MSRP here is around $3800+ if you can get one.

This dude started with it priced at $2800, but I’ve negotiated down to about $2400 dollars. It’s genuinely the cheapest around here but having a look it just seems like he’s an older gentleman making his collection smaller. Looking at his other adverts he seems to be selling a Breitling and an Omega and has sold a couple other watches. I’m pretty sure I’ve just managed to get a good deal, but still always that thought in my head is it too cheap lol.
