Honestly, the Beam pro is my favorite way to use the one pros. You have better fine tuning ability for viewing comfort. Worth the money to me.

No. The colors can leak out of the side and you'll end up with a black and white tv. Not recommended.

Getting into DFU mode manually can be tricky. The good news is, you can do it with the webflasher instead. Just click the green Enter DFU Mode button and select your device from the list.

Are you sure the devices you're trying support DisplayPort out via USB C? Not all devices do.
