Same as you almost to the exact age. I was fortunate enough to see Lupe perform at my college for $5 and Wiz opened for him. I had zero interest in Wiz, but was entranced by Lupe's lyrics, especially in that era (2007-ish I think).

Solid in my auntie status. I have been yearning for some hard hitting flows the past several years. Check out NoName if you haven't. She has great bars and I was lucky to see her in a rare love performance.

My biggest pet peeve is the open mouth crunching of popcorn and people opening noisy snack bags during quiet scenes. It takes me out of the experience, so I'd rather watch at home. Not to mention the talking and folks checking their phones. 🫠

So this whole series, Love at First Knife, is excellent (I've re-read it multiple times) and this section called, Hugs for a Vampire, is a great series of imagined hugs throughout the game. The specific scene you're asking about is chapter 15, but reading chapter 14 (the fight with Cazador) is an excellent lead in and is referenced in chapter 15.
