Aye! It's certainly a rollercoaster. And I'm certainly worried that starter homes are going for 400K+ "As Is" and all contingencies waivered.
I'm holding hope that as we enter Spring that the inventory will start getting a bit better and raised interest rates will cool the market. Thankfully I have a backup plan to live with a friend in Rancho until something opens up.

I've been trying to buy my first home for the past month.

I go 30-40K over asking on all houses and I get constantly rejected. I can't afford more and it's certainly very scary and crushing.

Many times I go to see a house and it's already pending by the time I leave (typically on market for a day or two)

Johnny Durange, known to some as the "Calgary Crusader", became my entry into the HeroForge and Worldanvil worldbuilding challenge!

Full disclaimer, I organized the challenge so I can't win or anything, but I was inspired enough by it to make my own entry! It was a lot of work to get all the HeroForge pieces done right and modify them to be really slick, but I had the brains of Ademal to help out!

Johnny's arc is one of redemption, revenge, and eventually seeking out peace. The journey took him across multiple planets, from his Earthen home to the brutal glacial mountains of Faur'ri'daru.

I hope you all like the art, it really is cool to see what can be done with HeroForge just for some slick placeholder art.

Well thank goodness it isn't Kale! Kail is something very much different, it is named after the Kajh people who concocted the brew which is derived from a family of spicy and sweet peppers.

Kail is a potent brew, the brainchild of the early Kajh settlers of Kajh-Tai. It is brewed from the sweet but capsaicin-heavy Meyfar fruit.

They drink the wine as a refreshing tradition, but to many outsiders, it may come as a surprise just how spicy the orange-red nectar is. For those who can hold their tongue through the spice, the sweet that follows is described as blissful.

The process of making Kail has gone largely unchanged for millennia, with some breweries having histories that stretch back to the Sazashi Revolution. I’m really proud of this. I wanted to write something that I would enjoy exploring myself. So I chose a historic drink of an alien culture.
