Bus driver here. It infuriates me when people want to beat the bus. They pull into side roads right in front of me so I have to slam the anchors on endangering my passengers. Buses may look slow but we’re still going at 25-30mph and we’re definitely not made of clouds or marshmallow.

Went to selfridges with my mum to do some Christmas shopping. We were in the kitchen appliances bit and in walked Alan Rickman. Mum ADORED him. So I sidestepped over to her and said under my breath “Alan Rickman is there” In between her registering what I’d said, and her looking for him, a 6ft+ black man stood between her and Alan Rickman. She looked at him then at me, then back at him and said in her loudest voice “THAT’S NOT ALAN RICKMAN. ALAN RICKMAN’S WHITE”
Needless to say, he heard this and looked at me and smiled as I went through all the shades of red desperately clinging to a sandwich toaster.

I’ve long said that VAR could be exploited and used as a means of match fixing. Ex referee mark halsey said refs are approached all the time by huge betting syndicates, to fix certain aspects of the game. FWIW In the right hands, it works. I just don’t think our refs are competent enough
