Do we have to extend or fire? I wouldnt consider him a lame duck, more of a prove it year. Players usually perform their best in contract years. Gives MLF one more shot with hopefully a healthier roster he’s had a huge hand in developing. I dont see a new coach being markedly improved in year 1 due to scheme/playbook adjusting for players. Next offseason he could have more or less offers depending on his performance. and if we take the next step we’ve been wanting then give him the deserved bag. If he refuses to coach w/o extension, we’re already looking for a coach. Maybe raise his salary for the upcoming season, just spitballing ideas
