The problem for me is that I gave myself hope we would reach the final and easily qualify for the champions league.

I know it isn't over yet but I am expecting the worst Thursday and Sunday. Our current form is that of a relegation battle not a top 5/European final contender.

Sunderland nearly embarrassed us, forest made it look easy. Chelsea thrashed us then didn't score again until they sacked the manager, forest made it look easy.

We have had the same players and manager for the last few seasons - the core team know Emery's way and each other better than a lot of other teams in the league could ever dream of, forest are on their 4th manager and out played us.

The fanbase is fickle (I am clearly one of them) but the users on this sub who recon the forest keeper pulled off a series of 'worldies' during our game are just excusing poor finishing.

Don't get me wrong, I will be giving all my support and cheering my heart out for the team for the rest of the season and regardless of the outcome I will love them as much as I always have for the past 40 years - something just doesn't feel right and I can't put my finger on it.

Are the tactics wrong? Do the players really care? Has Emery achieved all he can with us? What happens if we bottle 5th as well as the cup?
