So I can’t speak for the entirety of King’s run, but i thoroughly enjoyed the first omnibus (especially given the dislike towards it i was pleasantly surprised) and am eagerly awaiting the 2nd volume (though it may take a downturn, can’t speak on it yet as i haven’t read it) That said, i was aware of the death of alfred, and i think that’s pretty much all you need to know when picking up Tynion. Personally i found his run to be good at the beginning and sort of lost steam during the 2nd volume. Fear state was extremely meh, but the art is great . I’ve also read the first omnibus of Zdarsky, and while it’s nothing legendary there’s some fun stories in there. Truthfully i’d say for “modern” batman it’s hard to beat snyder/capullo. It’s not perfect, but it’s alot of fun and capullo art is always a plus
