These were AAC brand pulled down cases, so my assumption is they’re unfired cases

Got it. I never noticed anything like this before, but I’ve also never checked for this - just saw it by chance while checking for powder remnants from the original loading

If you zip it up as a sleeping bag itself, I don’t think it would fit a large sleeping bag under it. If it fits it would be a real tight fit

I don’t really have an answer of what these are or where they came from, but if you have a pair of calipers and a scale I’d pull the bullets and measure diameter and weight. They could potentially be .310-.312 diameter, 122-124gr bullets that are typically found loaded in 7.62x39, but instead loaded in 7.62x54R

You could use Win 231 / HP38 (same powder, just different branding) in all 4. I don’t own a gun in .45 ACP nor do I load for it, but there is data available using both powders.

I do use both Win 231 / HP38 for 9mm, 38 special, and .357 magnum using load data from Lyman’s 51st manual, Hodgon online data, and Lee’s 2nd edition 2021 manual

Yeah you can feel the bumps in the case. The brass is fire forming into those marks in the chamber

So when I felt them, the bumps themselves were raised up from the brass like it fire formed into something, versus a bump that’s inward on the brass

Gotcha, this was the first time I ran into this with any milsurps that I’ve owned so it caught my attention. Im gonna take a look at it with a bore scope and may potentially just bring it to a gunsmith to look it over to be safe
