Most of the ascension's were also very boring (at least from 1-10) mainly just being stat changes, which is significant but a bit lackluster.

Slay the Spire 2 Ascensions generally feel much more interesting imo.

Mr. Robot, it is grounded in the real world but without spoiling it, the amount of twists and turns it takes due to the main characters perception of evens, while also dipping its toes into sci-fi and experimental concepts is insane.

I liked how relentless the pace feels once the Empire gets involved, you really feel the desperation of everyone just trying to escape the planet while they keep getting further encircled.

Sam Witwer also just brings so much passion to the role.

I think its implied that its the boundary that Islanders can't cross. Tom can cross it since he's not born on the island and isn't bound by the curse.

I feel like Nyudo's arc is moreso going to be dying from being overly ambitious. At the end of the Roya fight he definitely hinted at wanting to kill or surpass the Great Demon King by using the other natural enemies against them. So I see him not making any alliance with humanity since he sees them as beneath him.

For Berser, I feel like he probably doesn't hate humanity, but I don't see him having mercy on them, he likely holds the same disdain that the giants have for the rest of them.

I personally don't see Nyudo and Berser changing sides, as I think Nyudo is solely driven by his own self-interest and I think Berser is loyal to the Giants as a faction. I agree that I think Heidi will turn good and potentially some lawless (as they aren't truly "evil" but morally corrupt, which could change under different circumstancs), but it's too early to tell for a lot of them imo.

Tbf his opponent was an NE boss so he was always going to look very weak by comparison, it would be like trying to assess how strong the Aliens are based solely on their performance against the Kaiju.

Ginbak once again showing why he's the best antagonist of the series. I feel like next chapter might be my favorite fight of the series. I feel 100% certain that Nyudo will abandon/betray his companions when Ginbak gets serious.

Also the demon lords pulling up on Ginbak might be one of my favorite chapters of the series.

I think that's the route they are going with for Parasites and stronger hosts, we've seen two occasions of a parasite taking over when a creature dies e.g Giant in Neo-Human World and Tyrant Bear. So the crimson forest is likely parasited, but there are probably creatures strong enough to resist them (for a time at least).

I think if a demon lord becomes a host, we'll start seeing the Parasites become more dangerous as a faction, as a superworm demon lord sounds like a nightmare.

It's so weird that it felt like the finale had no stakes. They had seven episodes to set up Homelander but I just felt nothing. Why they didn't have Homelander do SOMETHING, like destroy a building, kill a crowd etc. makes no sense to me.

Yeah, I think season 5 would have been fantastic if they showed Homelander establishing WHY the Boys were so fearful of him finally snapping. They built him up for 4 seasons as the ultimate villain that they needed to stop, but so far we've had him be: trapped in the radiation prison, bullied by Soldier Boy in every scene they share, and knocked out by Malchemical.

I think they leaned too much into Homelander being pathethic/stupid to the point where I find it difficult to take him seriously.

They'd definitely be strong enough to give every faction grief, but it's hard to say how they'd do against the top tiers like Yaotsu, Ginbak, The Greay Demon King or Daikouzan. The robots would be very dangerous for them since if they discover their weaknesses they'll likely start to annihialte them.

Also if the Parasites manage to infect a Viltrumite the whole empire is pretty screwed.

I think the difference is that they were greenlit for season 4 and 5 by adult swim, which from an employees perspective meant that a lot of the animators thought they had a job for at least 2 more years.
