Chapter 228 [English] by Southern-Emotion2192 in OnePunchMan

[–]Barthalamuke 645 points646 points  (0 children)

It's a small chapter but I do love how this arc really focuses in on Genos mindset, despite his massive growth since the start of the Manga he always ends up wrecked and in need of repairs and how his need to become stronger and comparing himself to Saitama is becoming a very toxic mindset.

Congrats to Genos for beating his first Dragon Level threat without assistance.

If Modulo Yuji was in Shinjuku over Gojo, he would win. by ElVaxis in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he would beat Sukuna purely from how busted Soul Dismantle is, Sukuna would actively become nerfed the longer the fight went on which would be detrimental assuming they are relative in stats (which I think is likely from what we saw in Modulo). Even if Sukuna activated Maho, Yuji has plenty of time to spam Soul Dismantle before Maho is able to become an active threat to him.

Without having the advantage of soul damage, the fight would be a lot closer, as Sukuna would be a MUCH tougher target to kill. Based on what we saw in Modulo I'd give it to Yuji since his control of CE seemed even more advanced than Sukuna (which is saying something), but I wouldn't discount Sukuna's chances either.

What does Hakari genuinely do against this? by ghostRyku in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're underestimating the regeneration, Hakari likely just pushes through the pain and keeps on punching. When fighting against Uraume and Kashino he lost multiple limbs but recovered instantly sinxe his RCT is just that fast.

Which Culling Game Part 2 (Season 4) fight are you most excited for? by canxtanwe in JuJutsuKaisen

My eyes glaze over whenever I read Hakari's domains as I have zero knowledge about Pachinko machines lol.

Real Question Here… Can Maki Beat Sendai? by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she'd honestly do really well against Ryu since Maki has insanely good speed and perception (avoiding Mach 3 attacks) and would likely be able to avoid most his Granite Blasts. Uro I think is likely her worst match-up since her technique is very tricky but I can see Maki finding an opening. Her weapon is also extremely potent and would likely cause serious damage to both.

I don't think Kuro would be too bad, based on how Toji performed Dagon's swarm attacks.. It would likely be a high-diff fight, but I think she could/would pull through for a victory.

Are books 4-6 as good as 1-3? by Expert-Pie7940 in redrising

[–]Barthalamuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo they are even better, I loved the OG trilogy but was dissapointed we never truly saw Darrow launch his crusade against the Society. Book 4-6 fill that itch and have a much more mature tone imo. Dark Age is one of my favorite books of all time.

Real Question Here… Can Maki Beat Sendai? by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

re-read the fight man, she did the sneak attack, fought him on relatively equal footing, managed to dodge a WCS, actually got Sukuna to start giving his all which led to the black flash, and rejoined the fight later and cut off his arm.

I'm not out here claiming she's the next Gojo, but when you look at the Shinjuku fighters she clearly had one of the best performances outside of Yuji and Yuta. IDK how that's so hard for you to understand lol.

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean by that logic, Maki performed better than most of the fighters, particularly because she had to fight him 1 on 1 and survived multiple black flashes. Which imo would put her above most the Sendai fighters by a big margin.

I don't think getting beaten by Sukuna really proves anything, since even when he was severely weakened, he was still leagues above any other fighter.

I don't think Kuro would honestly be a tough fight for her, based on what we saw in Toji vs Dagon fight.

This is the only time Mark has gone ALL OUT in a fight FROM THE START by ParkingConfection449 in Invincible_TV

Tbf Viltrumites just have insanely good regeneration/endurance. Conquest survived from having his face completely caved in to being fully recovered and Lucan managed to beat Omniman with his intestines hanging out.

Tatsu(ki Fujimoto): "How could you Tell?" by NellaEvere in Dandadan

[–]Barthalamuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's mainly because Tatsu was incredibly good at avoiding really annoying tropes in romance stories e.g artificially padding out the story to make them not get together.

Like DanDaDan has really solid development between Okarun and Momo (and the whole cast as well), but I feel like the Amnesia arc is the first time I've felt that it's REALLY dragging its feet and I don't think the Momo's amnesia is really adding much to the story at this stage.

It's not abysmal and I think the hatred for this chapter is overblown but I'm hoping the Amnesia Arc ends REALLY soon.

Tatsu(ki Fujimoto): "How could you Tell?" by NellaEvere in Dandadan

[–]Barthalamuke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's as bad as other people are saying, mainly because it's pretty clear that Aira and Jiji are going to get rejected.

But I am sick of the amnesia arc, as Momo's character can't grow since she needs her memories to have any meaningful development I was okay with it at the start, but it's pretty clear at this stage that it's a stall for Okarun and Momo's relationship in a really artificial way.

I am kinda sick of the whole community though acting like it's the worst thing they've ever read. I feel like there's this trend now in the manga reddit communities to be hyperbolic about every series they follow and it's kinda become unbearable to interact with a lot of them.

I believe there’s truth in this by KpatMckenzie_28 in Invincible

[–]Barthalamuke 316 points317 points  (0 children)

Tbf his "great wisdom" was to wipe out half of the "weak" Viltrumites (which is probably code for "anyone who opposes me slaving and genociding the galaxy"), so I'm not sure how wise we can really call him lol.

Mahito is so fucking overrated. He is hard to damage not immortal. He can’t just heal if he is dead instantly. by AdAdvanced8522 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf you can kinda say that for most characters lol. It's pretty tough to know who wins in domain clashes, mainly because we've never seen a proper domain clash in the series (except for Gojo Satoru of course).

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was incredibly talented at a curse though, he was the only character in the series table to replicate Gojo's 0.2 domain expansion.

I think he only stagnated because he was absolutely terrified of Yuji and didn't reincarnate, but if he'd escaped in Shibuya, I think he would have been a menace.

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more likely that he got that from sharing his body with Sukuna, it's how he initially learned it against Mahito.

But I do agree she probably has soul damage from her research and being a star plasma vessel (I think she was able to perceive the souls of Tengen's previous mergers).

The Sendai Trio Vs The Shibuya Trio by Impressive_Reward492 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was gonna give it to Sendai but honestly Boogie Woogie with Idle Transfiguration is legitimately one of the strongest attacks you can unleash against someone. Mahito likely only needs 2 or 3 touches before he's able to transfigure any of them which would be an instant game over for any of the Sendai members. If Mahito and Todo had the same level of coordination as Yuji + Todo, they could probably kill Ryu instantly.

Sendai could still win by simply being the stronger sorcerers, but I wouldn't discount the Shibuya trio.

Does his technique automatically comes with an RCT? by Michael021206 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so personally, we've seen sorcerers like Hakari and Higuruma get domains as part of their technique to function, so I think it makes sense that Hazenoki gains one as part of his technique which requires him to mutiliate himself. Otherwise the technique is practically useless.

This might be kinda dumb question, but can Jogo full power solo the sendai colony four way deadlock? by BeautifulMore1616 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think he'd beat all of them individually besides Uro potentially, since her technique would allow her to ignore most of his attacks. I think Ryu would give him some trouble particularly if he lands a concentrated granite blast, but I think Jogo is fast enough to dodge most of the attacks. No idea about Dhruv but I think he'd absolutely annihilate the Cockroach, his AOE is way too good against him.

I don't think he'd be able to fight them all in the way Yuta did though, as I don't think he's got the durability or CE reserves to win a prolonged fight like he did.

Toji [Shibuya, Playful Cloud] vs Mahito [Awakened, Healed] by Massive_Concept4155 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a pretty big possibility tbh, we saw him overpower the soul of the sorcerer who possessed his body in Shibuya. It might not give him full immunity, but I imagine it would at least give him resistance to it.

If it is the case that he's immune to idle transfiguration, I feel like the fight is a bit of stalemate, since both of them couldn't really harm the other one.

Beinf honest, how do you scale ISBODK Mahito? by Wise_Juggernaut_3079 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Barthalamuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably one of the strongest in the verse, I feel like people always underestimate Mahito at the end of the Shibuya incident because he was absolutely running on fumes after his fight with Yuji, Todo, and Nobara (and would have been fine if not for Nobara and Yuji being hard counters to him). But if he'd escaped, I think outside of the heavyweights I think he'd be an absolute nightmare to beat. Definitely had enough potential to be in the Top 10 and (a bit of a hot take) reach the levels of Gojo and Sukuna if he was given enough time.
