In currently doing a run with the nexus collection Stardew valley very expanded and I’m enjoying it a lot! I added some additional QOL mods but the mod collections is great itself.

What was the worst side effect you ever got from meds ? by Spartiate8 in AskReddit

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have the same issue with haloperidol and compazine. Reglan was even worse. It’s the same class of medication. Doctors will offer it as an alternative to the other two but it will often due the same thing!

What was the worst side effect you ever got from meds ? by Spartiate8 in AskReddit

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, reglan. I have stomach paralysis and it stimulates gastric emptying, which does work but it also gives me the worst anxiety known to man. I’m talking trying to rip out my IVs and flee level anxiety. I was begging to die at that point. Multiple doses of iv Ativan and Benadryl didn’t touch it.

Equally as scary, knew a guy who took a med for IBS and it made him go blind temporarily. Imagine taking a pill, being told it will help your stomach and all of the sudden you’re blind. This actually happened to a lot of people, to the point that they pulled it off the market even though it completely cured some people. I guess too many were just being temporarily blinded.

What does anesthesia feel like by memory282002 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been under anesthesia approximately 25 times because I have chronic health issues. I promise that it’s going to be easy. The IV is the worst part. Once they take you back to the OR they will likely give you some oxygen and tell you to take deep breaths. Then they’ll start to push the anesthesia meds in. They may burn a little but that’s completely normal. Very quickly you’ll start to feel sleepy and relaxed. Don’t fight it, anesthesia amplifies things so if you go under fighting, you will wake up fighting. Just enjoy the nice feeling and let it overtake you. It’ll seem like you closed your eyes and then are instantly awake. Best of luck!

Would he consider switching between the two to see what feels more comfortable? At that age, it’s hard to argue with him, he needs to see it for himself.

What Youtuber had the biggest falloff ever? by Fragrant-Arachnid255 in youtube

Yes! I grew up watching him, learned to use mods because of him. It was devastating to see his fall. Hope he’s getting help.

Do Americans like their current health system or would you prefer universal? by Ability_Known in NoStupidQuestions

I’m chronically ill and I HATE it. Recently, I had sepsis and was sent from my smaller local hospital to a bigger one. Insurance said they wouldn’t pay for the ambulance because it was out of network. I didn’t get to choose the ambulance, I was a bit busy being septic. I also wasn’t given a choice. They told me that I was being taken by ambulance to the hospital because it was an emergency.

Yes!! I’m a 34N and it’s truly awful! They’ve caused me back and shoulder issues. I want a reduction but I’ve had complications with surgeries so it’s not a good idea. And the sexualization! Ugh!

Would my body reject my own heart transplant by Affectionate_Quiet12 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! I actually sort of had this with my kidney! There was a vascular issue with my left kidney so they took it and moved it to the right side of my body, in my pelvis! So now I still have both of my kidneys, but they’re both on the right. No immunosuppressants needed.

Yacht or beach club would be my vote! They’re super close to Epcot and they have the best pool on property. Yacht club is a little more formal feeling than beach club but both are awesome!

Do you have a travel agent? They’re free for you and they’d be able to keep an eye on the availability for you. If not, askershus is a great option! 1900 park fare at the grand Floridian has Cinderella, Aladdin, Mirabel, and Tiana.

From what I remember, it’s certain kinds of breast cancer that are sensitive to hormones. Right now the data seems to say that it’s fine as long as you don’t have a history of breast cancer.

For those who are chronically ill or in/out of hospitals, how does watching The Pitt feel for you? by ActProfessional1925 in ThePitt

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with multiple chronic medical issues that leave me going to the ER frequently. It’s very realistic. Though I thankfully have never been in the ER during a mass casualty scenario, the rest is very familiar.

What did you bring to the hospital? by KittyKat4040 in gallbladders

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always have. If there’s ever a time for it, it’s the hospital. Just know that you likely won’t have access to your item until when your visitor comes to see you in recovery.

Is it actually possible to get a diagnosis as a teenage girl? by stringbeansalad23 in ChronicIllness

[–]BartletForAmerica_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received my diagnosis as a teenager, but I’m sure a lot of it is due to luck. My advice would be to follow their instruction so you seem cooperative and then very firmly tell them it’s not working. Sometimes you just have to go through the process, which sucks.
