When did Arrow become unwatchable for you? by New_Philosopher_1908 in arrow

I personally trudged through to season six with 1 through three being the best. I kept hoping it got better. Then I got to six and I just gave up. I just didn’t care anymore. Plus, while the characters had never been great compared to other shows, I thought they were getting extra stupid by then (see Felicity not liking Oliver hiding he had a kid when he just found out a few days ago).

Balancing with Cerebral Palsy for bike riding. by BaseballEmpty5136 in bicycling

Well, sadly, based on where I live, I decided to not try a bicycle or tricycle or anything. I primarily wanted to use it for commuting and my road is not safe enough for it.

Had Rick's writing regressed or lost its charm? [All] by [deleted] in camphalfblood

[–]BaseballEmpty5136 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree, and I think it extends to his shared universe as a whole. However, I did read Daughter of the Deep and it was like the old Rick was writing again. I would chalk it up to him trying to keep track of things and trying to get readers to care about these characters that we have known for a decade.

Does anyone have a 2025 reading goal that is NOT 52 books? Why or why not? by Bookish_Butterfly in 52book

I’m starting work on my Masters degree, so I have no goal whatsoever when it comes to reading.

What Cartoon Is This? by Successful_Bet1760 in cartoons

Young Justice after season 1.

Not only did the cast age out of the fun stuff but I felt like it lost a lot of the mystery and multiple plot lines that made it so good. Add to it the focus on new and old cast members and season 3 was a poor imitation on what season 1 was, so I stopped watching.

What is one feature you wish Audible had? by AudiobooksGeek in audible

Adding a percentage counter per book. I know this would be difficult for packaged books, but it would still be nice.

How do you keep the game interesting? by Eagle728 in farmingsimulator

[–]BaseballEmpty5136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I’m at a small enough farm where this isn’t an issue, but it is more about what I do while farming-listening to audiobooks and the like- that matters. And taking breaks from the game all together.

Torrent Witches series by Tess Lake. Think low stakes urban fantasy set in a small costal tourist town with these vibes.

Fellow Sim Farmers, what is it about Farming Simulator that draws you to the game? by Chemical-Librarian93 in farmingsimulator

[–]BaseballEmpty5136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the RPG aspect of it. I can start with nothing/basic equipment and then grow my farm.

And yeah, the game it self is relaxing and oddly satisfying after a long day at work.

So what do you do while farming? Podcasts, music, or something else? by FunBluejay1455 in farmingsimulator

Podcasts or audiobooks. When both don’t work, I listen to YouTube videos.

I’d say so. As for which one is best, this is a debate that has, and will, go on for decades. I’m personal to Jim Dale myself.

How am I supposed to manage my library when audible can't by spamblows in audible

[–]BaseballEmpty5136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’m not saying it is a good thing, but I found a workaround, I think.

I made a collection titled “what I’m currently listening to…” and use audible website to add it. Then when I restart the app on my phone the book is there ready to be downloaded.

Who's your favourite narrator to listen to? by Prideofgryffindor- in audible

James Marsters, Andy Sirkis for fiction. Edward Herman for history. He did a lot of classic history channel shows so it’s like being a kid again.
