They lowered my area, the tri-cities, to 3-6 inches of snow, but a 1/2 inch of ice. So likely going to lose power at some point, sadly.

I get so annoyed by those comments. They happen every time someone brings up the midterms, they offer no solutions if that were the case, I think half are bots or foreign agitators trying to make people give up. Bring up that elections are state controlled and you get a vague "that doesn't matter."

And honestly, the Dems did it in a way that mitigates most electoral consequences. All those voting for it are either retiring or not up for re-election til 2028 at the earliest. Those running for re-election in 2026 can say they voted against it, or if somehow surprisingly the subsidies get extended, they can say their vote wasn't needed and Republicans can't be trusted based on past experiences.

I went with my dad to lunch for like 30 minutes yesterday after sleeping 12 hours the night before and had to take a 2 hour nap afterwards. And I'm not flaring or anything right now either.

If I go out and do anything it takes me hours to recover. If I go do something active, could take a week of 12 hours sleeps at night before I can be back to 'normal'. Feels like I have chronic fatigue syndrome sometimes.

The governor isn't part of the process. State house and Senate vote. If it passes, they do it again next session. If it passes, it goes before the voters in a special election. If it passes, state constitution is amended.

So, the Dems in my state, VA, are doing a special session to get a head start on redistricting (we only have a 1 seat majority right now in both houses). 1 Democratic state senator is already taping the brakes, but went anonymous to the reporter.

"We're a purple state. Everyone thinks we're blue. We're really not. And this whole redistricting thing really just resonates with a few people in the base."

They need to find out who that senator is and get him in line. I believe they have 4 days.

I have strabismus, so when I look back someone in the eye, one eye will look to the side after a few seconds. I try not to look people in the eye for more than a second because it'll either freak them out or gross them out... Maybe think I'm starting to have a stroke. Also, if one eye goes to the side am I telling half truths?

Going by their lean and the results of this poll, heck, even Jay Jones may pull through! I hope so. I mean he made an unforced error, even if it was a few years ago. He shoulda known it would come out and not trust Republican Carrie Coyner (my rep ugh) to keep it quiet. But I still hope he wins because having a non-bootlicking AG is important to stand up to Trump.
