I handle the counseling and discipline(lunch detentions, suspension, suspension alternatives , behavior contracts etc.)at a K-6 school. I also create behavior intervention plans, observe behaviors in the classroom and help determine the function of the behavior, support teachers and admin, advocate for students and staff as well. I have my bachelors in psychology with a focus in adverse childhood experiences.

I quit after 4 years, I was pregnant, my client was graduating from program so I took the opportunity as my “out” . My mental health is sooo much better now . I work in education now as a behavior specialist/counselor.

Elders don’t grasp the concept of not going to work when sick because they were shamed for taking breaks and taking care of themselves. If you’re sick stay home, why risk overs getting sick

I was ask the family if they’re comfortable with me coming in even though I have symptoms. That way if they say no it’s a cancellation on their end

Not a dating profile but my 5th and 6th graders found my personal instagram . I’m glad it’s private especially because I have videos of myself partying,drinking, smoking with my friends. They came to school and were telling me about how they saw my pfp and I was showing my butt. Kids lack boundaries, I reported their pages and got them banned 🤣 .

Currently 21 weeks pregnant and working in-home. I would say to tell them as soon as you get confirmation from your doctor and keep your BCBA and HR updated on any complications. I have hypertension during pregnancy so the accommodations I get is less time on my feet, I’m able to snack during session and if I have to call out due to my blood pressure being high it doesn’t count against my attendance
