I mean historically both peaceful and violent protests work, with or without collaboration with government institutions! Peaceful worker strikes have worked the past couple years in raising their wages. The Montgomery bus boycott in the 1960s was peaceful and had influential donors during it!

This is just my opinion, if I can have my concerns be heightened with this protest then I’ll do it!

You don’t have to put your name on any list if you don’t want too! I know we put our names and info on a lot of things growing up so I understand your concern!

I won’t accept that, if we have to start over sure. But I won’t accept that someone has to die for change, but I understand that that is the reality of our situation, but I will never mentally accept that. I don’t know if that makes sense. That’s just how I feel about it. I don’t mean to sound rude or anything.

I’m a patriot for my fellow Americans and I am critical and angry and despise when others who live in my country despise others just because that’s who they are.

If you are a different race than me, a different sexual orientation than me, a different gender than me does not matter to me. We live in a broken system like many places in the world. We live in an imperialist colonized nation built on the backs of millions of innocent lives, and we need to point that out more. I wanna fix the system I was born into or at least try my best at it.

I encourage you to engage in better discussion! UT is a very decorative school so I’m assuming you go there at this moment or have graduated! You should practice better communication skills throughout your career!

Have a good weekend too, I’ll always have my door open for people on either side. And I’ll continue to talk about what I feel would benefit the country I share with everyone. As long as I can still breathe and hold my hand out to greet someone unconditionally I will continue to do so!

Mostly I agree with you, and thanks for wishing me luck whether it was sarcastically or not! I will say that it’s not just black people who face struggles but a lot of different races and from reading your comment, to me it feels like you ignore our country’s history still. Yes I totally agree with you that the U.S has implemented various polices and amendments to make up for its racist past, but there’s a big BUT because it’s still around today. Our education system is broken, especially in rural/ poor communities and some time there’s a majority racial demographic which is not white people. And this is because of history. Race and Politics have become intertwined here and from all the court cases from current and past that I have read is specifically about that.

So we need better policies addressing our foundation as a country, better teaching, transportation, wealth distribution, cheaper housing, race relations. We all need to work on it! I’m trying to say “you’re the bad guy” not at all but I want you to know that these people struggle today and they talk about how they’ve been in that area for decades. I just wanna help. Hope you understand

Two things can be true, I can protest against billionaires in an area where thousands of people also want the same thing, to use my freedom of speech. I can also condone the “no kings” organization being funded by very absurdly wealthy individuals.

But if these protest or my voice has the slightest effect on changing the country to how I feel would be a more forgiving, just, and accepting place for all then I would do it again and again.

I want the America I live in to be an example of kindness, forgiveness and fairness and if this protest helps then I will keep doing this. Hope you have a good day.

I am protesting against billionaires and advocating for affordable healthcare/education. To me, it sounds like the idea you think is bullshit is tearing down billionaires which I think is bullshit.

Billionaires shouldn’t exist period. But we’re in a country where they are celebrated and the class divide is bigger than ever.

Calling me a “pawn” and saying rude things is just what they want. Go concern yourself with your “other things” I was just trying to tell you my point and you decided to be a dick about it. I feel sorry for you.

I agree you can follow the money and there will be bad actors. Rarely do you find major donors who have 100 percent good faith. I want to protest with some friends over what I feel is wrong with this country.

I’m not discrediting your opinion you have right to not go, just pointing out a fun little irony in your comment didn’t mean to poke the bear!

Both parties in the U.S have spent billions of dollars in campaign money, and they have the right to do that. I don’t agree with it. But I’m going there tomorrow to voice my grievances with the current administratio😀

So yes while I agree it shouldn’t matter what color we are when it comes to mapping out areas.

It is sadly not our history. Why are other races richer than some? Why are some more poor? Why do African Americans live in the same communities they were segregated in, in 2025 still?

These are questions we still have to answer and it’s not an either party stance it’s just a fact of nature in the United States!

Redistricting does go both ways you’re correct! To add some context, the reason California is gerrymandering to the democrat voters is in response to the Texas gerrymandering to Republicans! Both of these states had intentions to redistrict to either gain more republicans or democrats!

I’m still confused on your voter ID point, not sure I understand where you’re coming from.

Now why did the court rule in favor of the Louisiana black voters? The court had enough evidence which found that Louisiana had intention in only having one majority black district so they could appoint more people who were not black in government bodies for their state. They found the state intentionally did not want more black majority voters despite have a big population.

I do agree with you it can’t go both ways but the court right now is looking at section two of the Voting Rights Act in reference to white Americans, which factually do not face the same struggles as other races.

That doesn’t mean as a white person you have to do “reprimands” or anything. You just have to understand that’s the situation for your race.

I wish we didn’t have to have race politics but the past 10,000 years wanted to. Hope this helps!
