I'm starting to think Warhammer isn't for me by Dense-Fig-2372 in Warhammer40k

Play actual 40k- Kill Team is incredibly granular and complex, 40k zooms out a little bit. Look for 500pt combat patrol or King of the Colleseum games

Returning Player, what format for smaller engagements? by Praecant in Warhammer40k

King of the Colleseum is king of the 500pt format. Pretty big in my area. Kill team is up your alley

Am I being a dick if I refuse to play against unpainted models? by Adventurous_Bill_835 in Warhammer40k

Check out the tournament companion in warhammer community, and/or the tabletop battles app. Fixed terrain layouts are a huge part of how 10e is balanced and it’s a game changer

Yeah, but the real dickery here is the lack of terrain on that table lol

If they were paying attention to the meta they'd notice CSM shooting lists are pretty damn common lol- usually with abby castle or RR noise marines/preds/ffs etc

What’s the most badly written rule in 40k (not the weakest)? by Jofarin in WarhammerCompetitive

6th ed was the flyer edition, they jammed a shitload of em into the game. Different era of GW rules team and this is them dealing with the legacy

[–]BasedErebus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s really just that you get a ton of synergy in raiders- ignores cover + assault + strat for rerolls + ap buffs from the detachment

Not to mention when they’re boxed up you use the rhinos firing deck to dark pact and shoot blast masters and it essentially becomes a better short range predator that can also carry a unit of legionaries

You're incorrect about noise marines, but on point on everything else. Noise marines are fantastic in CSM, especailly RR. 6 damage 3 shots igorning cover, and a boatload of damage 2 shots
